April 2, 2018

Larry Edgar builds up a fresh Flybikes Aire setup and puts it to good use on a backyard ramp!

Flybikes coming through with a fresh video Bike Check with Larry Edgar and his current Aire setup! Larry builds up a fresh bike, then proceeds to put it to proper use during a backyard ramp session with his dog! This is a dialed looking bike and some damn good riding!

“When you go as fast and as big as Larry Edgar goes, you need to know that you can count on the parts that are on your bike. That’s why we not only design our bikes, frames and parts to look great, but to be able to handle the abuse that comes from riding. When we worked with Larry on designing his signature Aire frame, we knew we had to do something that he could take to the trails, ramps or a street spot and have it be able to take on everything he throws at it. We did just that, and Larry rides one dialed bike. Take a closer look at Larry Edgar’s signature Aire setup in this new video bike check, along with a sample of what he can do on it during a backyard ramp session!

Frame: Flybikes Aire Frame
Bars: Stay Strong Edgar Bars

April 2, 2018

Tom Dugan sits down with Joe Doherty for “The BMX In Our Blood” Podcast!

Man, Joe Doherty has been super busy recording these podcasts! Here’s the latest for The BMX In Our Blood podcast where he sits down with Tom Dugan to talk about everything from how he got into BMX all the way up through what he’s working on for projects now, with everything in between. As always, Tom has a ton of crazy and funny stories, so this is a super good listen. Hit play and take it all in!

Tom Dugan BMX in Our Blood Podcast BMX

“Sometimes you meet people in BMX that are so crazy on the bike and off that you can only assume how the conversation is going to go and just hold on tight. As Gary Young said, Tom (or Tommy as the girls say) is a free spirit. He ended up being so awesome to talk to. As it usually goes, the guest figures that 30-45 minutes is the limit for what they have to talk that may be interesting. I’ve never had that problem with this podcast and Tom was a believer when two hours flew by. It was super cool to have Gary Young surprise us by joining in as well! Anyway, Tom is a solid guy with amazing skills and no fear. So good to watch! Look for Tom on June 9th when the XGames Real BMX show airs on ABC. It is produced by Stew Johnson and judged by podcast guests Scotty Cranmer and Trey Jones (coming up next) while hosted by another past podcast guest, Chris Doyle! Pretty cool, can’t wait! As always, please find this podcast through these podcast apps – iTunes, Tune In or Stitcher OR through the www.thebmxinourblood.com site where you can support the show through donating or buying merchandise safely. Subrosa In Color

April 2, 2018

Subrosa’s old filmer, Bobby Kanode, decided to release a video that might not have ever seen the light of day…

Anyone who has taken filming BMX serious has always dreamed of being paid to film for a brand or a video project. Bobby Kanode spent 3 years as the team filmer for Subrosa, which meant he spent his days traveling all over the place with the team filming for web videos, full-length videos and more. During his time he stacked a lot of clips, some were used, others weren’t and were just sitting on his hard drive waiting to be seen. The time has finally come, because Bobby has gone through and edited the clips into this full-length video that’s loaded with pure gold featuring their team riders, past and present, during that time frame. When Subrosa first started out, they did a lot of their projects in black and white, so that’s where the title comes from. Get the full story from Bobby below!

“From 2013 to 2016 I had the opportunity of a lifetime to be the filmer for Subrosa Brand. When it was all over I was left with a hard drive full of good times, and last year I chopped this video up to “clean out my closet.” I can’t say enough good things about all the boys, and I had the time of my life. This is kind of the DVD that never happened. Big thank you to Ronnie Bonner and Ryan Sher for having me for those years, and bigger shout out to the best team in BMX.

We’ve got a lot of recycled clips in here but they’re in color now, as well as brand new (yet still old) never seen section from Johnny (no longer on Subrosa) and a stacked friends section. Pretty hyped!

Love you guys, enjoy.

Shook “It’s On” DVD

April 2, 2018

Boom… It’s on! The Shook “It’s On” DVD is now online.

Big shout out to Ryan Howard for taking the time to upload all of these Shook DVD’s the past week or so. Here’s a look at the Shook “It’s On” DVD that featured Jeff Klugiewicz, Kym Grosser, Karl Poynter, Jeff Kocsis, Mark Gralla, Eric Holley and Brad Simms, with a mix section that featured Tony Neyer, Andrew Moor, Dan Marion, Jeff Kennedy, Jeremy Barcik, Jesse Dewlow, Quinn Semling, Will Love, Eli Platt and Josh Suhre. This video was released back in 2006 and features a ton of familiar faces we’re still seeing riding from today. Once again, this video was produced by Chad Shackelford and turned out amazing from the film work and graphics side of things. If you have been watching the different Shook DVD’s over the past week or so, you have likely noticed how the videos have gone from a fairly loosely planned thing, to a pretty set direction and format that kept things flowing really well. Either way, awesome video that’s well worth a watch!
