Filippos Kosmidis “BAF3” Leftovers

The BAF Crew had some leftover Filipos Kosmidis footage from their new “BAF3” video that’s coming soon.

The BAF Crew have been working on their next full-length “BAF3” video from the streets of Greece. They had some leftover Filippos Kosmidis footage that needed a home, so they whipped up this dialed edit filled with grinds, tailwhips, spins and more. If this is Filippos’ leftovers, we have a feeling the final video is going to be nuts!

Sneak Peek: Wethepeople BMX – Doomsayer Frame

If you haven’t noticed that Jordan Godwin has been on fire lately, you’re completely blowing it. Jordan has been pumping out a ton of great riding footage lately, and appears to be bouncing around the world full speed ahead as of late. That’s why it’s not a huge surprise to see that Wethepeople are working on a signature frame for Jordan called the Doomsayer. Over the past week or two, Wethepeople have released some detailed photos of the frame, but didn’t release any specs… until now! What we do know is that the Doomsayer has a slight resemblance to the Battleship frame with a similar downtube hydroformed gusset and a hydroformed top tube gusset at the top tube / seat stay junction. The frame will have a very steep 76.25-degree head tube angle, 11.9″ bottom bracket height, 9″ standover height and a 12.95″ chainstay length with a 127mm (5″) tall head tube. Other features include curved seat and chainstay bridges and Investment cast dropouts with integrated chain tensioners. We don’t have full details but we’re sure there is some butting and other work going on with the tubing. The bottom bracket revealed a 20.75″ top tube length, but we would assume there will be at least a 21″ option as well. One other detail we noticed is that there aren’t any brake mounts on this frame. Given, this is a prototype sample, there’s a chance the frame will still offer brake mounts, but it’s fairly unlikely.

The Doomsayer frame will be released September 2018. Beyond that, we’ll just have to wait and see what Wethepeople are cooking up for this frame over in Germany as far as colors and more goes. We’ll keep you posted when we know more.

2018 FloriDeah Swampfest Highlights

Check out all the madness that went down at the 2018 FloriDeah Swampfest!

Over the weekend, BMX riders from around the world invaded central Florida for a weekend of partying and riding a ton of sketchy ramps, a Subrosa Street rail across a giant mud pit and some real dialed looking trails thanks to Trey Jones and the FloriDeah crew! Check out all the madness in this highlight reel from Ride BMX and then another from the Sunday Bikes and Odyssey crew! Expect to see a ton more from this one soon!

“Not since the UGP Roots Jams have so many BMX riders ascended on central Florida like they did this past weekend for the 2018 Florideah Swamp Fest. Astatula, Florida, was the place to be this weekend, with the promise of lots of fun, plenty of sketchiness on and off the bikes, and an escape from the winter weather. Here’s a highlight video featuring all the action from the ridiculously sketchy and unpredictable ramps to the perfect dirt jumps (courtesy of Ryan Herbach and Cody Diggs), to the 64 foot long Subrosa Swamp Rail, and the massive Scotty Cranmer Best Trick jump. While a large portion of BMX was focused on the FloriDeah Swampfest this weekend, the latest stop of the Toyota Triple Challenge series went off down in Texas. During the contest, there was no shortage of bangers going down and two tricks that Keith Mulligan shared are absolute mind benders… Jake Leiva pulled off a Decade to 360 Tailwhip and Dawid Godziek pulled a Tailwhip Cashroll. It goes to show the level of progress that BMX is at when it comes to sending it over some massive dirt jumps. Both tricks make little sense and almost seem to defy logic of the way gravity, physics and every other force works. Jake’s Decade to 360 Tailwhip is more like a Decade to Tailwhip to 360… We’re not sure how he magically stopped and started spinning in the process. At least it appeared to be that way. Either way, both tricks are absolute bangers and we figured this was well worth a share for people to check out. Expect to see more footage of these tricks and the whole event soon since Monster has been putting out videos after each stop of these contests. We’ll get the videos posted up as soon as they surface, so make sure to check back!

2018 FloriDeah Swampfest – Just Send It

For the FloriDeah Swampfest, Scotty Cranmer wanted to do a rad event, so he had some kickers build and a dirt landing setup over a fence for a best trick contest. Some of the guys decided to give the setup a test and get a little practice in and Ride BMX whipped up this raw cut from it.
