Kriss Kyle at Woodward Riviera Maya

December 5, 2017

Watch Kriss Kyle put in the work at the new Woodward Riviera Maya!

A few weeks back Kriss Kyle was invited out to Mexico to ride the new Woodward Riviera setup. Here’s a short but sweet video featuring Kriss getting down on some of the ramps from the crew over at Ride UK. You know when you drop Kriss Kyle at a spot like this, crazy riding is going to happen. Check it!

“An air-conditioned skatepark complex in a tropical paradise! It sounds like a dream, but it really does exist. It’s the Woodward facility at the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Check out our exclusive session there with Mr Kriss Kyle.” – Ride UK

Pete Greaves – Bike Against MND

December 5, 2017

Let’s help Pete Greaves raise money for Motor Neurone Disease research!

It’s always hard losing somebody close, especially when it comes to family. Pete Greaves lost his brother to Motor Neurone Disease (MND) recently and it has motivated him to help raise awareness and funding for research to help try to fight the disease. Pete decided to put together a great video explaining a little bit about his goal and why he’s doing it, while giving you a treat of a dialed new riding video in exchange for your attention. If you’re digging the video and want to help Pete meet his goal of £2,000 (which he’s already SUPER CLOSE), you can donate right here!

“I had a load of footage sitting around and after I’d edited it up I decided to try and raise money for a cause that’s very close to my heart instead of just sticking it on the internet as usual.

I lost my younger brother Dave to Motor Neurone Disease last year. Dave got me into BMX and still took a keen interest in what was happening right up until he became ill, even though he quit riding a good while ago after getting a string of injuries.

He was a serious hip hop head and this vid uses one of the tracks he always told me I needed to use for a video: Tonights da Night, by Redman.

I won’t go into the details of MND (or ALS/ Lou Gehrig’s disease as it is known in the US) here but you can read more on my fundraising page: http://www.tinyurl.com/bikeagainstmnd

The vid is filmed in Newcastle, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Austin, Paris and Copenhagen and I just want to say a quick thanks to anyone who showed me around those places – the reason I decided to add the fundraising element is because I find BMXers are super generous with time and inner tubes, so probably cash too!” – Pete Greaves

Effraim Catlow – One Session

December 5, 2017

Effraim Catlow coming through with the goods from a single flatland session…

We’re always stoked to see what Effraim Catlow is getting into over in the U.K. Here’s a look at a video he whipped up from a session he was able to get in recently that went from just a session to filming a bunch of combos to make a full edits worth of riding. Take a peek! You won’t be disappointed.

“It’s been a long time coming, three years in fact since my last edit with Ollie Denny. During that time, I have been battling injuries off and on the bike, it’s been hard to get any rhythm. Ironically I just crashed on my roadbike a few hours before we filmed this.
Matti Hemmings popped down this past weekend, and quickly turned from “Let’s get a few tricks” to “might as well film an edit Effraim?”. In one session I did 7 combos I was pretty happy with, the ender though got corrupted. So That will have to wait for the next project.
If you listened to my interview with Scott O’Brien you will have heard me talking about this idea of releasing EP’s before the LP. let’s call this the One Session EP.
Thank you Matti Hemmings for taking the time to film in this “One Session” edit.

Tune: Mr Brown – The Time Stealer.”

The Return of the SE Bikes Bear Trap Pedals

December 4, 2017

Just when you thought it was crazy Odyssey brought back their Triple Traps, SE is bringing back the Bear Trap pedals!

SE Bikes Bear Trap BMX Pedals

The other day we saw that Odyssey had brought back their old school Triple Trap Pedals and we figured it was a strange time to bring back super gnarly pedals that would give most BMX riders these days nightmares just thinking about them bashing their shins. Well, apparently the old school BMX Pedals are making a comeback because SE Bikes are also bringing back their BEAR TRAP PEDALS to give you some grip and likely leave some scars on your shins. These pedals start out with the anodized aluminum cage with plenty of jagged teeth for grip that connects to a 9/16″ boron steel spindle with loose ball bearings to keep ’em spinning. These also come with reflectors, but we’ll just assume you’ll be ripping those off right away.

The Bear Trap pedals come in anodized black, silver, anodized red, anodized blue and anodized gold with a weight of 14.6 oz. and a price tag of $24.99 for the pair.
