Soulcycle BMX – Emile Bouwman: Bounty Hunters

October 25, 2017

Emile Bouwman is back with another wild BMX video for your viewing pleasure…

If you don’t get excited when you see Emile Bouwman‘s name pop up, you’re blowing it! Emile is always cooking up some crazy riding and brings a ton of energy, excitement and laughs to his riding. Here’s his latest for Soulcycle from some time he recently spent cruising spots in Barcelona, Spain! Plenty of big and gnarly drops, smooth lines and more! Hit play and enjoy! Who says you need pegs and freecoaster in 2017?

“Soulcycle crew rider Emile Bouwman went to Barcelona a few months ago with filmer Jelle Harniseger. Searching new spots was the mission and not a single clip was filmed in Barcelona. Massive thanks to: Julien Inorreta de Craene, Daian Demedeiros, Rodrigue Timellini, Santi Saturno, Valen and Jelle Harnisfeger.

Business BMX II DVD – Harrison Forward Section

October 25, 2017

Check out Harrison Forward’s section from the “Business II” DVD…

Another week has passed and another section from the “Business II” DVD to check out. This time around we get a look at what Harrison Forward cooked up for his part. Despite his last name being Forward, Harrison spends plenty of time going backwards with the freecoaster useage. This section has a lot of wallrides, grinds, jibs and more to take in, keeping things interesting from start to finish with some creative spot usage. Take a peek!

“Harrison has always done things his way, the way he wants, and when he wants as you can tell from the dozen different set ups he rides throughout the video… From sub-8 inch rise bars and 4 pegs to 9.5 inch rise bars with no pegs, and everything in between. The song was used in a recent video but I promise it’s all bad timing and not a song snipe. Be sure to check out Harrison’s project Citadel (@citadelbmx) where he’s putting in work making bars and other dope stuff.” – Ian Fleming

“Business II is a scene video out of Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada that has been 5 years in the making. The entirety of this video was filmed on the east coast of Canada, featuring a long line up some of the most talented street riders in the Maritimes, with tons of different styles. We hope you enjoy it.”

Gabe Brooks Tribute Videos

October 24, 2017

BMX lost another great. Rest In Peace, Gabe Brooks.

Yesterday we found out that BMX had lost Gabe Brooks to a shooting, taking him incredibly too early from this Earth. There’s no doubt that Gabe left an impact on so many people and his passing is a huge shock to everyone. Steve Croteau put together this short but sweet video with some footage of Gabe that he had as a tribute to him as his memory. The guys at Ride BMX have also put together a tribute video as well that is nothing short of incredible that you can find below. We won’t forget the amazing talent, drive, ambition and positive attitude he brought with him. If you want to help out Gabe’s family at this time, Steve has a pre-order for t-shirts with full proceeds going to his family that you can pick up. Link below!

ALL PROFITS GOING TO GABES FAMILY” – Steve Croteau

“Gabe Brooks was like a BMX superhero. The first time I ever met him he had just gotten back on a bike after a small stint off of it, and he was loose as hell. He looked like he’d came straight out of a movie about the hood, and just seemed like the furthest thing from a typical BMX rider that you could possibly imagine… but he was calling out superman rail-hops to flat and other crazy shit, and actually kind of sending it. It was obvious that Gabe had at some point ridden BMX, but it’s insane to see where things went from there. Within a couple of short years Gabe got pretty damn good, racked up some sponsors, traveled to Estonia, had some sponsor change-ups, but then put out the best video part of his career in Stranger’s “No Hype”. Gabe also left a legacy behind with the influence he left on people, he had a way of motivating those around him and showing everyone what their true potential was. The circumstances of Gabe’s passing are truly tragic, but let this memoriam celebrate the life he shared with our community of BMX riders. RIP Gabe. Thanks goes out to Miles Rogoish, Darryl Tocco, Mike Mastroni, Chris Mortenson, Nuno Oliveira, Vital BMX, TCU, & Defgrip for their support in video / photo contributions.” – Ride BMX

Here’s another video looking back on Gabe’s amazing talent on a bike…

Standard Bykes – Matt Lough STA 500 Promo

October 24, 2017

A promo video for a Standard STA 500 in 2017? You better believe it!

There are only a few frames that have been able to stand the test of time and the Standard STA 500 frame is one of them. Here’s a promo video featuring Matt Lough putting his frame to good use during some skatepark time. Matt has a deep bag of tricks and it’s safe to say he puts the frame to good use!

“Matt Lough is so dialed at riding. He can whip up clips for videos like it’s nothing. (Pun intended) Matt is so aesthetically pleasing to watch! Watch him show off his Standard STA 500 with brakes and style!

We tried to make this one as fun as possible but it ended up being way cooler than we could have ever imagined.
