Josh de Reus On Haro Bikes

It looks like Josh de Reus is following the steps of Chad Kerley and Mike Gray…

What better way to get your first Haro frame than from the hands of @ryannyquist. New Zealand’s Josh de Reus (@joshdbmx) is on the @premiumbmx_ team and we decided to get him on a Haro frame / Premium parts deal to sync up with @chadkerley and @mikegraybmx. Josh, Chad and Mike head on a @premiumbmx_ trip to Northern California next week. Look for content from those guys soon and welcome to Haro Josh!

Haro Bikes have added Josh de Reus to their line up! Similar to how Chad Kerley and Mike Gray went from riding fully for Premium on over to Haro with Premium parts, Josh will be on the same program! To kick things off, they had Ryan Nyquist hook Josh up with a new CK Frame. This should mean that we’ll be seeing more from Josh here in the near future. It also makes us wonder if Premium will be transitioning to just a parts brand in the future. I guess we’ll find out if Stephon Fung and Blake Peters make the same transition since everyone else on the Premium team have made the switch on over to Haro with Premium parts. We have a feeling that might just be coming sooner than later.

Kink BMX – Saturday Selects: Darryl Tocco Titan Video Raw

You know you cannot pass up some Darryl Tocco footage!

We’re big fans of Darryl Tocco here at The Union and it’s pretty easy to see why… Darryl absolutely crushes it on a bike and has some of the best barspins in BMX. Not only that, but he’s also phenomenal behind the lens as well. Since Darryl spends a lot of time behind the lens these days, we don’t get as much riding footage from him, but we definitely appreciate every time some footage does pop up! For this weeks Saturday Selects from Kink, they uploaded Darryl’s raw clips from his Titan frame promo that came out back in 2014. Even though this is older footage, fortunately his riding is pretty timeless! Gotta love all the brake action, grinds and those buttery smooth barspins.

Drifter Snow Bikes – Alberta Road Trip

Like it or not, the winter is coming once again. If you’re in a place that gets dumped on with snow every year like we are, there’s always a question of what to do when riding isn’t exactly an option. Last Spring we got a look at each of the sections from this video, but Drifter Snow Bikes decided to put all of the sections into one edit for your viewing pleasure. Check out what the whole crew got into during their road trip to Alberta, Canada where they spent a few days riding the terrain parks. If this doesn’t look like a fun way to pass the winter months, you’re crazy.

Day two of Scotty Cranmer‘s trip back to Las Vegas with Big Boy. This time around Big Boy and Kevin Peraza play around some of the setups that Monster Energy had setup for the stuff they’re doing outside of the Supercross races. Check out what they got into for the afternoon!

“We are in Las Vegas for the monster energy money cup dirtbike race and also we are here to race can-am UTV’s with other Monster Energy Athletes around this crazy track all simultaneously! The race is on Saturday we are here the day before to practice driving on the course but also we brought our bikes and decided to ride on the course before it is finished and film an awesome BMX YouTube video for you guys! Here’s a rad one we spotted over on Focalpoint that features Bryce Ruksenas and James Gilbert getting it done down in Australia. These two spent the past six months going to work on street spots and skateparks around Perth, stacking over 6 minutes worth of real solid footage! “Myself (Bryce Ruksenas) and James Gilbert have been filming this project full time for the last 6 months (besides a few clips from the previous year). The idea behind this project was to film a video showcasing how two people can interpret spots differently and also show off some of the amazing spots Perth, Western Australia has to offer. ATX Women – BMX Documentary

There’s no denying that there’s a huge BMX scene in Austin, Texas. What you might not know is that in the past few years there’s been a big boost in the number of girls riding BMX, and there’s a good number of them that are calling Austin home these days. Myka Dylan put together this rad documentary about the women who ride BMX in Austin to get their perspective on riding and showcase their skills with a bunch of riding footage. This is awesome to see and we’re stoked to see how much momentum they have going these days. Take a look!

Vans Shoes Grand Opening Party

This past Thursday, Vans had their official grand opening at their brand new headquarters out in California. They threw a huge party and invited their BMX team out to do demos during the day. Here’s a video Ryan Guettler put together from the day from the party and good times being had to some of the riding that went down! Vans did it big with this one.

“Thursday OCT 12th Vans shoes throw one hell of a party.

I was one of 2000 people who showed up to see the amazing new HQ office in HB just off the 405.

Vans always dose it right and this was a new level. Live concerts, all day give aways, athlete demos, how workshops and 100’s of give aways. Did i mention they had a kids and adult jumping castle.

They invited a bunch of athletes to hang out and enjoy the vert ramp and box jump set up.

Thank you Vans for one of the best days this year!!”
