Matt Perkins 2017 Video

September 9, 2017

Here’s a BMX video for you guys out there that are sick of the nibbler jibbler street edits that we’ve seen a lot of over the past few years. Matt Perkins was sick of it, so he decided to start hucking himself off roofs, hauling ass at wallrides and grind some big rails. Here’s what he ended up with! The music on this one will get you fired up, too.

“I set out to make a bmx edit like no other before, using the fastest and heaviest music accompanied by fast and heavy riding. Nowadays bmx edits are all the same with slow tech clips and rap music playing. I had to switch it up and do something different even if no one likes it.” – Matt Perkins

Scotty Cranmer – Train Game of BIKE

September 8, 2017

It’s that time of the day again to see what Scotty Cranmer and crew are getting into. This time around they decided to play a Train Game of BIKE with Big Boy, Cory Berglar, Mike Fede, Brooklyn and Dom Simoncini, with Ricky Hoffman as referee. This concept is simple, each team has to do the same trick in a train. If they pull it off, the other team has to do the trick in a train as well. As always, plenty of dialed riding goes down. Check it out!

“It’s a classic game of bike with a twist! 2 teams of 3 need to do tricks in a single file line with a perfectly executed delivery! But getting 3 BMX riders to land the same trick in a row proves to be quite difficult to do! Game of bike is like playing horse with basketball but this version requires a lot of creativity and skill on a bicycle!” – Scotty Cranmer

Baco-A-Go-Go Jam Cancelled

September 8, 2017

Well, you can unmark your calendars if you were planning to hit up the Baco Jam that was supposed to go down at Jellystone Skatepark at the end of the month! It looks like the campground pulled the plug and decided to close down the skatepark earlier than planned to get a jump start on their sweet new mini golf course! Below is the details about what happened! There will be another one at a different location this winter… We’ll keep you posted!

Baco-A-Go-Go Cancelled

“Bad news everyone. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Sept 30 Baco Jam is officially cancelled.
Basically the management company that owns the Warrens skatepark suddenly demanded @neighborhood_skatepark vacate the premises with less than a week’s notice. The park will be gone by the time of the Jam.

We sincerely apologize to anyone who made plans to attend. If you made accommodations you should immediately call to cancel and get a refund for any reserved hotels, cabins or campsites.

We’re working on a winter Baco Jam somewhere indoors in the coming months, likely after the 1st of the year so stay tuned.” – BACO

Demolition Parts – Panos Manaras Welcome Video

September 8, 2017

Demolition Parts coming through with Panos Manaras‘ official welcome to the team video! Panos joined the team about a year ago and has been going to work stacking clips on street spots, trails and skateparks from Greece to the U.K, Spain and more. As some of you probably know, Panos is an absolute machine on a bike with a deep bag of tricks and a ton of style. As expected, this video is packed with amazing riding from start to finish and some damn good film work, too. Hit play because this is one BMX video you won’t want to miss!

“Panos Manaras has been working his ass off for a year on this Welcome to Demolition video with good friend and filmer, Anas Mansour. The spots ridden, song, filming, and editing is a perfect match on how Panos rides. This is a much watch for those that like to watch a good looking BMX video that portrays street, dirt and ramp in an amazing way.

The Battle of Hastings is going down this morning at Source BMX in Hastings, England this weekend! The pros are starting to roll in and get some warm up riding time in and things are already getting rolling. Here’s a video Ride BMX whipped up from a bit of practice so far! Things are going to get nuts this weekend!

“Here’s an extended-cut look at all of the action that went down yesterday during the first day of practice here at the Battle Of Hastings. Highlights from Garrett Reynolds, Chase Hawk, Corey Walsh, Broc Raiford, Larry Edgar, Matt Cordova, Trey Jones, Justin Spriet, Dennis Enarson, Joris Coulomb, and many many more killing it at the world’s largest underground skater.. Source BMX. Plus the hilarious duck plucking ceremony that determined the running order for the street plaza video segment of the contest. Shouts to Larry’s Edgar’s team of having to start bright and early with a 10AM jet-lagged session.. Stay tunes to the site for all of the coverage from Battle Of Hastings!!” – Ride BMX

Wesley Thongtrakul In Maui

September 8, 2017

We don’t see a ton of BMX videos out of the islands of Hawaii, but it’s always rad when we do get one to check out. Here’s one featuring Wesley Thongtrakul going to work on the skatepark and street spots around Maui! Wesley has a solid bag of tricks from grind combos to big blasted airs, barspin combos and more that he puts to good use on everything he comes across.

“This was not an easy video to get together. Between all our work schedules and trying to collaborate free time proved challenging however we were able to pull it together and this is the outcome. We hope you enjoy!!!”

Profile Racing – Tech Tip: Z-Coaster Support Bearing

September 8, 2017

This weeks tech tip from Profile Racing has arrived. This time around we get a short but sweet video from Matt Coplon where he explains why the Support Bearing on their Z-Coaster hub spins freely in the hub shell! Pretty interesting. Take a peek!

“While on the Maiden America Shop tour in 2017, a question was brought to our attention on the ZCoaster outer support bearing.

Why does that bearing spin inside the ZCoaster shell?
Is it supposed to do that?
And is that bad?

To answer your question, it’s part of the design and completely normal.
Here’s a quick tutorial. Let us know if this helps?
