In a day and age where you probably can’t even count the number of BMX related videos you have watched in a day due to the constant stream of social media, videos being shared on Youtube and Viemo, etc. It’s always pretty crazy how something you watched a really long time ago stands out to you. Paul Covey recently went on a little mission to find out more about an old, old VHS video that was called “Chasing The View Off The Cliff that came out of the Pennsylvania area back in early 90’s. It’s an interesting read and it’s safe to say Paul had a lot of fun digging into this one. Check it all out over on the Snakebite website.
Sunday Bikes – Jake Seeley “Grow Up”
On Friday, Sunday Bikes released the Intro to “Grow Up” and mentioned that they would begin uploading sections from the video starting with Jake Seeley today. Needless to say we’ve been refreshing Youtube over and over again in anticipation. Jake’s section is now live and it’s an absolute banger with some much amazing lines filled with technical grind combos and freecoaster action, along with so many unique and crazy setups. This is one section you cannot pass up watching! Hit play and enjoy!
“There are a lot of innovative riders in BMX, but I think of Jake Seeley as having his own brand of innovation. Some riders take BMX in entirely new directions with wildly different moves, while Jake uses many of the same building blocks as other modern street riders, but in ways nobody else is coming up with. The result is some beautifully imaginative combos and a unique form of riding that’s at once grounded in tradition and refreshingly different.
Don’t think any of this comes easy. It’s not uncommon for Jake’s attempts at a clip to number in the hundreds; that’s not a testament to a lack of skill or ability, but to how hard what Jake’s doing really is, and to how dedicated he is to making the crazy shit he cooks up happen.
The other thing about Jake is he’s a perfectionist. Jake will try something 100 times, pull it nearly perfectly, hate one almost imperceptible detail, and give it another 100 goes. There are clips in his Grow Up part he landed seven or eight times, still wasn’t happy with, and we had to convince him to use. I don’t think I’ve ever filmed with a rider with such high standards.
But man, I gotta say it’s all worth it. Check out his part and you’ll understand.” – Walter Pieringer

Vans BMX Pro Cup – Sydney Highlights
The weather might have been pretty gnarly and put a damper on things, but they were still able to fire out the Vans BMX Pro Cup this past weekend in Sydney, Australia where some of the most stylish and best bowl riders in the world dropped in. After the rain cleared (Not dust this time), Sergio Layos took the win with Dennis Enarson and Larry Edgar taking 2nd and 3rd place! Check out this short but sweet highlight reel from the event. Hopefully we get more footage in the coming days since we did see a number of cameras on the deck!
Check out Vans BMX Pro Cup – Sydney FULL RESULTS
“Speed, height, power and originality were in full force today, as the inaugural Vans BMX Pro Cup Series Global Qualifier re-commenced an intense BMX competition in Manly Beach, Australia despite severe weather delays.
Beginning with a field of over 30 competitors, Spain’s Sergio Layos seized the Vans BMX Pro Cup Sydney title, winning first place for executing flawless trick combinations and colossal airs with lightning speed throughout the custom-spec park terrain course. Not far behind him, contest warrior and BMX icon Dennis Enarson placed 2nd, delivering his signature performance, blasting through runs with effortless style and explosive lines. In a well-deserved 3rd place, Larry Edgar surprised all with his fearless momentum, consistency, and creativity, also earning him the LUX Best Trick award for his tuck no-hander to table hip transfer over the spine“
Brant Moore – Dear Big Boy
If you have been following Scotty Cranmer‘s Youtube channel, you have undoubtedly watched Big Boy chug something or eat something in one shot. It’s pretty impressive when you see him slam an entire Monster that’s super carbonated in one go. Brant Moore decided to give Big Boy a little challenge, and instead of calling him out in the comments of a video or on Instagram, he decided to take on the challenge himself and see if Big Boy can beat it. Hit play to watch Brant put his insane icepick stall balance to work as he chugs a bottle of water (not nearly as fast as Big Boy would)… Whoever said you can’t do two things at once won’t know what to think about this one. Apparently this whole chugging water thing isn’t as easy as it looks, either!

After you check that out, you can get a look at his new Bike Check that came with the news giving us a look at his new Patron setup. TYou can check that out right here — ADRIAN MALMBERG BIKE CHECK
“The WETHEPEOPLE family grows one stronger today as Swedish all-terrain slayer Adrian Malmberg joins the squad. Adrian has the ability to shred anything he puts his tires on, from a 7ft spine to a 15 stair handrail, all with a smile on his face. Adrian is no stranger to road tripping around the world with his bike, and with many of the guys on the team having already met and traveled with Adrian, the decision to add Adrian to the crew was one that was unanimously agreed upon.
It’s cold as hell in Sweden right now, and although Adrian officially joined the crew whilst we were all in Tallinn at Simple Session last month, today we are stoked to drop this short indoor video filmed & edited by our very own product designer Mikael Frisk, as well as a look at Adrian’s almost 100% Wethepeople stallion.
Welcome to the crew Adrian!”
