Station Down South

March 20, 2017

The Station crew decided to head south for some warmer temperatures and good times. Here’s a video from a trip they took down to Nashville, Tennessee where they hit up street spots and skateparks all along the way. This video has a pretty laid back vibe, but there is plenty of real solid riding to take in, so hit play and enjoy!

“A collection of clips that we got while in on the way down to Nashville and while riding street filming for the Station Mixtape. Most of this was skate park stuff or things that aren’t good enough to make the cut for the video so we decided to put out a little edit.

Jamsado – BMX Fun n’ Games in Bogota

March 20, 2017

Two in a row from Jean William Prevost today. Here’s the second video he sent through from the Jamsado flatland jam down in Bogota, Colombia. This wasn’t as much about riding as it was about having a good time. Unfortunately rain kept the guys from their bikes for part of the day, but they still managed to have fun. Check out what went down.

“IGI BMX, Tienda Flatland and Fade Footwear join hands to present the first ever JAMSADO. As the rain was approaching
early in the day, we decided to start with our flat games to get the footwear and IGI products out intoo the riders hands,
the games included ;
– KICK BIKE , 5 rounds with 5 finalists and one finals to know the champion who won FADE shoes
– SCUFF JAM, the person who could hold a scuffing trick the longest to win a pair of FADE shoes
– HANG IN THERE , the longest HANG 5 for a pair of IGI SWEETSPOT pedals
– KOREAN ARM WRESTLING to win final prize ; a pair of IGI MICROPHONE PEGS
The last challenge took place at the Flatland Shop owned by the Palencia brothers who treated us all to a sick session of BBQ.
JAM + BBQ (asado in spanish) = JAMSADO !!!!
We hope to do this again somewhere in the world!

Go Figure – The Dubtaker

March 20, 2017

Jean William Prevost sent over this quick video from a session he caught during a basement session at his friends house. This isn’t the craziest of videos, but the angle they filmed at is pretty interesting. Basically this spot is in a basement and they just hooked the camera to the ceiling. Take a peek!

“Another Chapter on the Bobble Head Journey. Jean William Prévost @jwilliamp out at the flatland temple at @flatstivi ‘s house puts out a new trick : THE DUBTAKER. Go figure! #sticktoyourownguns

Park Party with Artem Agarkov

March 20, 2017

The BMXASHKA crew sent through a new one featuring Artem Agarkov getting down at his local skatepark. Artem brings his street style to the place with plenty of grinds and nose balance, but he’s not scared to send it with a big stretched no hander drop, either. Check out plenty of goodness in this short but sweet video.

BMX Theory – The Pegdal

March 19, 2017

We’ve seen quite a few crazy ideas get tossed around when it comes to innovation in BMX, and this is definitely one of them. Originally when we saw the title of this, we started thinking it was some sort of crazy remake of those crazy pedals that replaced your cranks so all you could do is pump. I think they were called Flow Pedals and they definitely never took off. Either way, Kyle Mileski heard about an idea of combining a peg and a pedal and it looks like he decided to give it a shot. Here’s a video showing you how he made the Pegdal with an Odyssey Twisted PC pedal, a peg he cut in half and some glue. After he engineers this unique piece of equipment, he took it to 3rd Lair skatepark for a testing session with a few friends. This is pretty hilarious, and we could almost see people wanting this. Maybe it’s time somebody started making those metal plates that used to be available back in the day again.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments!

“Peru’s biggest BMX contest of the year went down in Lima this past weekend and shredders from all over South America came out to join the madness. Watch, enjoy, and get familiar with these dudes!” – Vital BMX

Kaine Mitchell & Sam Jones at Creation Skatepark

March 19, 2017

Here’s one we had sent through featuring Kaine Mitchell and Sam Jones getting some time in at the Creation Skatepark over in the U.K. Both of these guys have different styles of riding with Kaine more of a ramp rider and Sam being more of a street guy, leading to plenty of unique riding. Check out what went down!

“Yes the lads are back this time with a crazy double’s edit! Filmed at Creation Skatepark in Birmingham, the lads absolutely destroy the park with big bangers and tricky technical lines! Check it!

Foam Pit High Jump

March 18, 2017

It’s one thing to do a high air contest on a box jump or something that could hurt a lot if things go south, but things get taken to a whole different level when the risk of getting hurt is lower. Scotty Cranmer decided to have a high air contest into the foam pit to see which one of them could go the highest. Needless to say, with everyone knowing they had the foam to land in, they weren’t scared to go huge. Check it out.

“We decided to do another foam pit high jump competition! The whole crew came out ready to try and go as high as possible off the ramp! Things got interesting very quickly as the crew started doing tricks over the height bar like backflip tail whips, front flips, and even a double tail whip to barspin! As the height bar went higher it started getting crazy as BK nearly jumped out of the foam pit! That was an insane crash! But at the end of the competition there were two people battling it out to become the foam pit high jump champion end it came down to the wire! We had such a good time laughing and having fun riding BMX bikes!”
