Max Bespaliy Video Bike Check

June 28, 2016

The crew over at Stress hit us with a link to a fresh video Bike Check with Max Bespaliy and his current setup that he’s running. The video features Max giving you a run through of his bike (with English sub-titles), along with some dialed riding footage. There’s a few interesting pieces in there like a prototype freecoaster he’s running that appears to use a similar shell as the Stress Disco Hubs that looks pretty interesting. Hit play and take a look at just what Max is running these days! Looks like a dialed BMX bike to us!

Dat Sauuuce – Troy Blair and Travis Cordova

June 28, 2016

It looks like Troy Blair and Travis Cordova have been busy out cruising spots and stacking clips. Here’s a new split edit featuring the two going to work on spots out in Arizona. As expected, these guys bring a bunch of grinds and nose balance to go along with plenty of cassette action. We haven’t heard this song in quite a while either, haha. Check it!

Jaime Gonzalez Skatepark Session In Spain

June 28, 2016

You cannot go wrong with some Jaime Gonzalez footage. Here’s a fresh batch of clips Woozy BMX dropped from a skatepark he cruised over in Spain. This is pretty much just an extended cut of footage from the Jaime Gonzalez In Madrid video from a few weeks back. There’s a lot of extras, crashes and stuff that didn’t make the first video that probably isn’t too exciting. Either way, Jaime is smooth as butter and that makes up for it. Check it!

Austin Augie has been on his webisode game and he’s out at Woodward East this week with a bunch of people. After that we get a little tour around the place with Austin, then he proceeds to send some backflips, hang out in a spring and catch some long distance gummy bears. Check it!

Ruben Alcantara’s Etnies “Forward” & “Grounded” Sections Remastered

June 28, 2016

Ruben Alcantara – Etnies “Grounded”

Ruben Alcantara has been my favorite rider since I first got into BMX some 17ish years ago. The first time I met him, I was the mega fan with his signature Ruben frame from Macneil and his signature Ruben shoes from Etnies. Today, DIG re-released Ruben’s sections from Etnies “Grounded” that came out in 2008, and “Forward” that came out in 2002 for your viewing pleasure in a re-mastered, higher quality than what’s bene floating online for years. This is a reminder as to why he’s a personal favorite of mine and so many around the world. Hit play on both sections and enjoy the gold!

“Grounded was released in 2008 to much anticipation after Etnies previously praised video. After years of filming, the video was delivered to audiences with Ruben being granted the last section again. In six years Ruben’s riding had progressed in a way that seemed unattainable at first but looking at his past only seemed natural. His pursuit of street transitions and banks continuing in full force gave a new meaning to “gap to wallride” throughout his part. Through Ruben’s riding he brought his question of “You’ll never know” until you try to the table with setups and tricks and few if any would think possible.”

Ruben Alcantara – Etnies “Forward”

“Forward was released in 2002 on VHS and DVD with Ruben closing out the video with the final section. A mix of skatepark and street footage, Ruben always managed to find something to blast or get technical on. From massive ditch quarter pipe hips, to wallrides, to fakie smith half-cab tabletops, he was innovating and progressing BMX with each session. His video part gave BMX the beginning taste of where his riding style was going and his conscious effort that less is more.”

Matt Macduff – Loop of Doom

June 28, 2016

Holy… crap! Just saw this over on Can You Dig It and couldn’t pass up sharing it. We’ve seen the loop plenty of times over the years from really dialed ones, to reaaaaally sketchy ones (who remembers that one at the old Bone Deth jam made out of pallets and scrap wood?)… But this one takes it to a whole new level. We don’t post a ton of mountain bike stuff, but this is too crazy. The video doesn’t really give away a ton since things definitely didn’t work out quite as planned, but you can check out the full story, photos and more about this here The Loop of Doom.

“On saturday march 19th, Matt Macduff sustained a terrible fall attempting to make his way around the Loop Of Doom. After over 3 year of research, determination and hard work, Matt managed to find everything he needed to make his project happen.

Built in a month at the Garden Route Trail Park in South Africa, the gigantic structure rises up to 40 ft. in the sky. The crash left him with 10 fractures in his right wrist and 3 fractures in his right ankle. The story behind his stunt is as impactful as the structure itself. A real story of determination. After spending a week in a South African hospital, Matt is now home in Ontario, working on his rehabilitation. Just as he started to walk again, we catched up with him to get his version of this incredible story.

In previous posts about the Loop of Doom, there was a lot of interrogations from the readers so we did our best to cover all the aspects of the project. Keep on reading to take a journey through the mind of a young man determined to leave an impact on the sport he loves.
