If you have been riding BMX for a while now, you have undoubtably have seen plenty of BMX videos from the up and coming riders that are starting to make their way into the pro ranks on a number of teams all around the world. There’s one crew in particular that have been plowing their own trail that go by the name, Common Crew. This crew, which is stacked with talent with riders like Jacob Cable, Ethan Corriere, Devon Smillie, Travis Hughes and more have been on fire for quite a while now and it’s safe to say they haven’t slowed down since laying their foot on the gas pedal. One recurring name that we see popping up in the filmer and editor credits time and time again, Francis Castro, has been expanding his work beyond just this crew, handling some heavy projects for brands like Fit Bike Co., Fly Bikes and more as of late. We’ve been real stoked on Francis’ work, so we figured it would be a good time to get ahold of him to find out just what his story is, what he’s working on these days and what he hopes the future has in store for him. Ready? Let’s do this.

Smay Vision 4 – Spencer Ryan

January 25, 2016

When Spencer Ryan isn’t busy giving back massages, he’s out there putting in work on street and skatepark spots on his bike! Check out the latest BMX video from the Smay Vision crew giving us a look at some of Spencer’s latest footage! Excellent mix of tricks and this guy isn’t scared to go fast!

“Spencer” Spence Diamonds” Ryan , a name known by most Canadians at this point, has consistently destroyed it from park, street and the unique in between. Without a doubt the most creative and “fun” section of our video, sessions with this young spaz never cease to amaze and entertain everyone around. Glad this section got to see the light of day finally, enjoy the madness that is spence diamonds.”

Alexis Labbe Video

January 25, 2016

There’s something extremely refreshing about watching a BMX video that has no grinds or a freecoaster in it. Alexis Labbe dropped this dialed new one of him putting in some work at his local skatepark over in France. Alexis has a big bag of tricks and a ton of style to go with that, too. Excellent watch from start to finish. Do not pass this up!

January 24, 2016

The other day Scotty Cranmer dropped part one of the Florida Trip. Then Dylan lands his first ever tailwhip on a bike and we go to this place called Green Springs and the boys jump off of a tree into the water! Jesco the Bulldog goes down a slide and then we end the trip off with Trey Jones giving the boys matching jail- style tattoos! it was an awesome trip and we are excited to go back one day!”

Rest In Peace, Brian Histand

January 24, 2016

rest-in-peace-brian-histand

Here’s some unfortunate news we just spotted on Facebook. After missing for 2 years, Brian Histand‘s remains were discovered. As many of you remember, Brian went missing mysteriously with nobody knowing of his where abouts. There were search parties and more setup to help look for him. This is definitely a bummer, but we would imagine it will be able to give some of his family and close friends some closure. Brian was a hell of a BMX rider and an amazing person off his bike. Rest in Peace, Brian. You will never be forgotten.

“After more than two and a half years I got the call. The remains of my son Brian have been located on South Mountain in Phoenix. Many thanks to all that cared, helped and searched for Brian. I’ll post when more information is available.”
