DIG just dropped this raw cut of footage from the Etnies trip to Las Vegas to film for the “Chapters” video. Check out a few clips that didn’t make the cut from Aaron Ross and Nathan Williams above, then check out some real good photos and a write up from the trip over on the DIG website.
“While everyone left Interbike in zombie mode a few months back in Las Vegas, Nathan Williams, Aaron Ross and filmer Will Stroud decided to prolong their stay and battle some of that Nevada heat, all in the name of the upcoming etnies full-length, ‘Chapters’. Needless to say those guys snagged some insane clips but until you can see those in the DVD we’ve got some extras from their time in the desert. Our man Kevin Connors went along to shoot photos and provide some spot location assistance.”

We were wondering when some footage from this contest was going to surface. A few weeks back the G-Shock Real Toughness contest went down in Japan and based off this video, it was a pretty wild contest where some of your favorite street riders went head to head. The filming and editing in this video is fast paced and pretty crazy… So be warned if you get motion sickness from watching movies. Otherwise, enjoy.

Beyond the BMX street riding comp, there was also a flatland jam, skateboarding, breakdancing, DJs, graffiti artists and more all under one roof. The street comp saw Tyler Fernengel and Devon Smillie (team USA), Alex Donnachie and Ollie Shields (team UK) Bruno Hoffman and Fernando Laczko (team Germany, and Rim Nakamura and Shota Higa (team Japan) battle it out over three heats with team USA walking away with the win. It’s been a little while since Jason Phelan has put out a new BMX video… Which is a little weird since he’s usually pretty consistent. But, that’s okay, because he made up for it with this short but sweet edit from some lights out sessions he has been getting in on the rail at Unit 23.
