2015 Midwest Winter Games at Ramp Riders

The annual contest at Ramp Riders isn’t happening, well, at least not the same one! Cody Dixon hit us with a flyer and some news about what the plan is. If you’re near St. Louis, Missouri on December 12th, you gotta make it to this… There’s no doubt that it will be a super good time! More info below along with the full flyer after the jump!

“This year ramp riders in St. Louis will not be putting on their annual Buck Nutty contest. So instead The Habo and Myself will be holding a jam, a day of just riding, jamming out with mini comps, such as drag racing, high air, lip tricks, street jam, find the secret tapes (yes you read that right) and a “Brake” battle for those of us who still have stoppers on our bikes. We are keeping the entry fees as low as possible, and are looking for any companies who would like to get involved with the jam as event sponsors! Odyssey – How To Socket Drive

With the growing number of sprockets becoming available in Spline Drive and Socket Drive, it’s probably a good time for you to learn a little bit about it. Odyssey just released this new video featuring Jim Bauer giving you a little insight into the Socket Drive system (which also is compatible with Spline Drive thanks to adapter) and the installation process for one of their sprockets and their Thunderbolt cranks which utilize the system. No need for one of those bolts to keep that sprocket tight anymore.

For those who might be unfamiliar… In a nutshell, the Socket Drive™ system is a 9 sided interface which eliminates the need for a sprocket bolt. In addition to OUR OWN sprocket offerings, other BMX brands have released Socket Drive™ compatible sprockets as well.”

Merritt – Dodging The Rain In Maryland

It has been awesome seeing Brad Simms crushing it on the regular again now that he moved back to the United States. Merritt released this new BMX video from a few days of filming that Brad and Jordan Capece did recently. It sounds like it was a wet week, but it didn’t keep them from coming through with some real good clips. Check it!

Cult – Cultoween 2015 Highlights

When it comes to street crews, there’s a good chance you’re pretty familiar with The Daily Grind‘s team. One dude on there team who we’ve been watching over the years that you might not be super familiar is Eric Mesta. Eric is one of those guys who is always putting off a super good vibe, a serious grind technician and a crankflip wizard. We caught wind that he was running a sample of Zack Gerber’s signature frame that Standard is working on, so we figured it would be an awesome time to do a bike check to get a look at his current setup along with find out a little bit more about this guy!
