Mutiny Bikes – Randy Taylor Forever

May 22, 2015

Mutiny Bikes have released this amazing tribute video to Randy Taylor who we lost to suicide a few years back. Randy was one of a kind… An amazing rider and an amazing person that you couldn’t help but love. It still seems unreal that he’s not with us anymore. To go along with this video, Mutiny have re-released Randy’s signature Loosefer frame with full proceeds going to a Suicide Awareness Charity. We have posted up photos and full specs that you can check out after the jump. Randy Taylor Forever.

“Randy Taylor. Randy was a goodhearted, charismatic, creative, incredible person. One of the most fun dudes to be around ever, and one of the most gifted bike riders I’ve ever met.

Randy was a natural, there’s no question about it. No one could accuse him of taking anything too seriously, yet he excelled at everything he did – most notably riding bikes, making friends, and entertaining those around him. Everybody loved Randy. Everybody. Between his unstoppable energy, his carefree goofiness, and his unmatched talent for finding trouble, there was truly never a dull moment.
Randy always did his own thing, be it in life or on his bike. The phrase “ahead of his time” gets thrown around a lot, but I can’t think of a more shining example than Randy. Now having the benefit of years of perspective on his riding, it’s easy to see how talented and forward-thinking he really was. Even his seven-year-old frame geometry is easlily up to modern standards.

Randy may no longer be with us, but we are fortunate enough to have a fantastic video archive of his riding and of his personality. He will forever live on in the collective hearts and minds of his friends, his family, and anyone who enjoys his riding or had the good fortune of interacting with him.
The Loosefer Reissue is now available, and we’ll be donating all profits from sales to a suicide awareness charity.
Rest in peace Randy. We miss you bud.

Mike “Hucker” Clark Profile

May 22, 2015

We’re not quite sure where Can You Dig It found this video, but we’re stoked they did! Check out this bio video giving us a little insight into Mike “Hucker” Clark’s life along with some amazing riding footage from the past year or two. This gives us a look at more than just his love for riding, like his love for snakes and reptiles. Not sure if this is for X-Games this year or not, but either way it’s online and it’s awesome.

Justin Spriet on Odyssey

May 22, 2015

Well here’s some news that isn’t a complete surprise since Justin Spriet has been on FIRE lately… Justin is now doing it for Odyssey! It sounds like they have already been putting him to work on trips, so we should be seeing some footage to go along with this news sooner than later. Get the official word from team manager, Walter Pieringer, below!

“I’m stoked to welcome Justin Spriet to Odyssey! I’m sure you know Justin kills it, and he’s already friends with everybody on the team, so getting him on board made perfect sense.

Justin raced for nine years – since he was four years old – which explains a lot about his control and confidence on a bicycle. Nowadays he can get down on dirt, ramps, and street, and he always makes it look smooth and clean. His versatility is impressive to say the least.

Justin wrapped up his first Odyssey filming trip last week, and I’ll just say I’m more confident than ever that he’s a great addition to the squad. He’ll also be joining us this week on the ODYSSEY/QBP trip in Southern California, so if you’re in the area come hang out and meet our newest addition.” – Walter Pieringer

The Way Back Tour – Ryan Guettler and the Nimbin Snake Run

May 22, 2015

The 2nd episode of Ryan Guettler’s “Way Back Tour” takes us to a few different parks, including the Nimbin Snake Run, along with some cliff diving and good times off the bike! This has a ton of damn good riding in it, so take a peek!

“Australia’s outdoor parks are some of the coolest in the world and in episode 2 of On The Way Back Tour Ryan Guettler is continuing his tour of the very best ones on the east coast. As he heads north with the crew they bump into killer crabs, beachside bowls and the iconic Big Banana. The action peaks in the town of Nimbin and their legendary snake run before Ryan and co finishing off in Ballina where the Prawns are huge and the skatepark sessions always end by bridge jumping into the ocean. Does it get any better than this?”
