Product: Subrosa Brand – Villicus Prime II Frame

With the release of Subrosa Villicus Prime II promo video, we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at the frame and see just what’s so good about this BMX frame! This 4130 chromoly frame has a 75-degree head tube angle, 69-degree seat tube angle, 8.75″ stand over height, 11.6″ bottom bracket height and a 13.5″ chain stay (centered in dropout) length! You can find a gusset on the down tube, double butted top and down tubes, an investment cast wishbone for the chain stay bridge and an investment cast bridge on the seat stay bridge, flat ended seat and chain stays at the drop out for better clearance for hub guards, laser cut 6mm thick drop outs with integrated chain stays, an integrated seat post clamp and removable brake mounts!

The Villicus Prime II frame is available in top tube sizes of 20.5″, 20.75″ and 21″ with colors of black, copper flake and black cheetah and a weight of 4.8 lbs. (20.5″)

Subrosa – Hoang Tran Villicus Prime II Promo

It has been a little while since Hoang Tran has put out a full on banger of a BMX video, but it looks like, after healing up from a bunch of injuries, he’s been busy crushing it as of lately! Check out this new video from Subrosa promoting the 2nd version of his signature Villicus Prime frame that is PACKED full of nose balance, cranked turndowns and freecoasting goodness.

Discussion: 3D Printing and BMX

We’ve seen technology advance A LOT over the years and the things that can be done with BMX bikes and parts are pretty amazing. One thing we haven’t seen much of, yet, is 3D printing of products. There’s a really good discussion over on BIKEGUIDE talking about 3D Printing of products and if and how well it would work. It’s a real interesting read and there are a lot of photos of non-BMX products that have been 3D printed and some setups a few of the guys like G-Sport’s George French are working with. Now this is what we’re talking about! Colony just released this brand new video featuring David Pinelli turning up the style to the max at a handful of parks and even some trails down in Australia! Definitely a BMX video worth watching!

Sneak Peek: Cult – Full Guard Sprocket & Mind Control V2 Stem

Cult just dropped a sneak peek of two new products that will be dropping soon. The first, a full guard sprocket and then the 2nd version of the Mind Control front load stem. We don’t have info as far as specs go, but we can tell you they will be offering both in a Rasta color and that the Mind Control V2 has a recessed top and laser etched logo on the side! Expect more info as soon as we find out!
