Young gun Marek Kuhalskis just hit us with a link to his latest BMX video and it looks like he finally made the move from an 18″ bike to a full on 20″ bike. This video gives you a look at some of the riding he has been getting in since making the transition at his local skatepark with plenty of grinds and freecoaster action. What’s rad is how comfortable he looks on the bigger bike. It goes to show that having kids start out on 16″ and 18″ bikes that they fit on is so important to get the bike control they need!
The guys at Stress just hit us up with their new 2015 catalog giving us a look at their new frames and parts! Their entire line of BMX products is looking so dialed and they have really done some work creating a few unique products which is rad to see! That Truecoaster looks rad. The Simple Session is about to go off this weekend in Tallinn, Estonia and you already know they cooked up an amazing course for everyone to get loose on! Check out this time lapse they put together giving you a look at the building process thanks to the GoPro cameras they have to work with! This is shaping up to be one hell of a BMX contest once again!
The Los Cambulos Catago BMX Jam went down in Colombia recently where they had a real good turn out and plenty of crazy riding that went down! Guys like Mark Mulville, Alejandro Caro and Dawid Godziek even made the trip out for it! Take a look at some highlights in this video! Looks like a proper BMX jam to us!
First Vans Kill The Line gets postponed until 2016 and now today we caught wind that the BMX Cologne (formerly BMX Worlds) has been cancelled as well! It sounds like the guys behind the BMX Cologne contest have simply run out of room to make the event happen and are looking for ways to find a way to do it to its fullest potential. Here’s the official word…
“After 30 years of BMX in the “Kölner Jugendpark” our motivation to organize this event has not changed. We always were driven by the passion for our sport BMX. To provide a platform where BMX is recognized as a sport and culture rather than a circus or stunt-show has always been in our focus. To show the variety that BMX has to offer has always been a main part of our concept. BMX at the Jugendpark has become a ritual to us and to thousands of BMX lovers from all over the world.
In 2015 the BMX CGN will take a break. It’s time for a concept overhaul and to give the venue the opportunity to improve its infrastructure to secure the future of BMX at this very special location. Since 2011 we have been facing higher standards and restrictions set by the City of Cologne year by year. Now it has reached a level that makes it impossible for us to proceed the way we did it in the past. We were working on solutions, but for this year’s event we are running out of time.
Nevertheless, we wish you an awesome BMX summer!! Thank you for the support over the last years & keep on riding!!
