Although the New England area has been getting pounded with snow this winter, the sessions at Skaters Edge have been going strong to pass the months! Here’s a real solid mix of riding from a bunch of different riders bringing a lot of different styles and tricks to the session. Well worth a look!

We’ve seen videos from Andy Maguire for years now, and I don’t think it ever occurred to us that he had a brother! Turns out Andy’s brother Tim is a shredder as well! Check out this split edit they just dropped filled with goodness and some music that came out before I bunch of you were even born!
“Who gave these guys a camera? I want to say this is about 16 years in the making, but maybe it’s more like 29. My brother Tim always made BMX look cool to me, and he was always the one in the group who was a step ahead of the game… First to do big gaps, first to hop 3, first to grind rails; needless to say, the man was a huge inspiration. Although we’ve both progressed tremendously over the years and our outlooks on riding have developed, nothing grounds me to the soul of BMX more than a good session with my brother. Thanks brother! And, all of this made possible by the magic of minimum wage labor…”

After last week, when we got everyone all fired up about the different External Hub Guards that will all be available soon, our good friend Nuno at Mutant Bikes figured it would be good to drop us a line and explain the new Peguard that will be available at the end of this month worldwide and the External Hub Guard that will be available this summer! These both have been years in development and they’re finally ready. Get the full details below!
“We have been developed this Peguard and External Guard with our crew since 2009, always with the intent of creating a hubguard serving in all frames and forks maintaining the strength they need.
On the right, you can see the Peguard that will be available worldwide end of this month and on the left is the External Guard that will be available in June/July this year.
It was a really nice challenge developing the Peguard so far, but they are finally done and tested.
Peguard specs are:
– made with AL7075 T6
– full CNC machined
– internal peg offset machined to be thicker on the bottom and thiner on the top.
– 105mm length
– Replacement nylon sleeve with 100mm length
– 38mm out diameter
– 10mm thicker hubguard
– 2 fixing bolts for the nylon sleeve
– Fit every front and rear hubs, both sides
– Fit every frame and fork out in the market
– available colors: black, blue, red, orange, polish and oil slick
Externalguard specs:
Same as the Peguard we apply the same things in the external guard and have been test/adjust them together to works perfect with your pegs or any pegs available.

Here’s a gem we spotted over on Can You Dig It! It looks like the CTY Trails crew in Texas have teamed up with Austin, Texas based Indust some some collaboration trail frames! Not a ton of info available yet, but it appears to have a custom seat stay bridge and a wild wishbone on the chain stay. You can learn more right here!
