48-spoke wheels used to be the norm years back, but as time went on and technology advanced, 36-spoke wheels became the dominate to help save some extra ounces. The guys at Bone Deth still offer 48-spoke wheels because let’s be real… They’re absolute savages. This video is a clear indicator as to just why they offer them and what kind of hell they are built to withstand. I wonder if they are working on 48 spoke wrists, ankles and knees. Woof.

Back in October, we got a look at Tree Bicycle Co.’s Okan fork. Now they have a second version for those of you who are fans of the front brake magic or are considering giving front brakes, but don’t want to commit to a fork with mounts. This fork is made from 4130 chromoly with a 165mm one-piece steerer tube that is CNC machined with radiuses instead of angle cuts to prevent stress cracks in the material, an integrated headset race,, the legs are triple butted with a smaller diameter and thicker tubing for increased strength and the 25mm offset drop outs are large enough to fit the bigger plastic pegs and removable 990 mounts for your brakes. This fork comes with a Tree Headset cap bolt with the extra hole for the brake cable as well. The Okan fork is available in black and woodgrain with a weight of 32 oz. (898 grams) with the mounts and a price of $166.99 – $188.99 (woodgrain). You can find out more about the fork here.

Shintaro Misawa had a phenomenal 2014 and probably put out more edits than every other flatland rider out there and it looks like he’s not slowing down! We just spotted this fresh one over on Flat Matters from some of his more recent sessions! Amazing riding as always!
Now this is what a good time looks like! Alex Veenbaas put together this video from the road trip him and his friends took along the Great Ocean Road down in Australia! This one was just as much about taking the sights in and having a good time as it was riding. Definitely would have had a good time on this one!
