DIG – Low Profile: Shawn Real
DIG dropped this rad Low Profile featuring on Shawn Real! Above is the video that’s packed full of gold from the trails and some backyard ramp setup sessions. After you check out the video, hit this this link to check out a bunch of photos!
“After his years in Greenville Shawn found himself moving up to Long Island for work for six months or so, and he coincidentally moved to the same town where myself and Russ Barone live. After meeting Russ and the other dudes he continued to ride with all them, but mainly stuck to street and park. Thinking he wouldn’t be interested, It wasn’t until a year or so later that Russ told him about the trails… but little did he know that Shawn grew up racing and riding jumps. Since he’s been coming down to the trails and since I met him, I’ve learned a lot about this individual who I can now call a true friend. Shawn is a stand up human and one hell of a fucking ripper. I wanted to put this edit together of him cause i hate when i see people of this talent get little or no recognition from the BMX world. So sit back, enjoy, and recognize.

Vice – Nigel Sylvester Breaking the Mold & Taking On BMX – Part 2
Part two of the Nigel Sylvester interview with Vice Sports is now online! This one focuses a little more on how the industry and riders have reacted to some of the things he has done in the past like the ESPN Body Issue that hasn’t exactly been positive. There’s a lot more riding in this one as well, so hit play and take a look! If you missed part one, watch that right here!
“Nigel Sylvester might be BMX’s most recognizable figure, but his life and career are anything but typical of the sport. With several major endorsements, a clothing line and riding videos featuring the likes of French Montana and Pharrell, he has taken his brand far beyond the bike and garnered criticism for it along the way. Although he’s constantly reminded of his presence in a predominately white sport, Nigel has injected his unique personality into BMX and found unparalleled success doing it. In Part 2, Nigel discusses the criticism that comes along with his unique place in the game.” – Vice Sports

Over time, we have seen a handful of videos from Justin Schwanke that has featured his crazy backyard ramp setup out in Alberta, Canada that has been pieced together over the years from skateparks that closed down, events that no longer happen and whatever wood him and his friends could come across.
