“I don’t really leave Santa Cruz a lot, but it was very refreshing and inspiring to put together a video from clips that were shot from out of town. I’m not sure if I’ve ever made a video part without at least one clip from good ol’ Santa Cruz. Whether it was the next county over or a couple of states away, traveling always challenges your take on riding and life in general. Although I love where I live, it’s great to get off the island and place yourself in new surroundings. Here’s to the end of this year, and to what the new year will bring! Thanks to everyone who filmed, came on a trip with me, or watched this video!

We get a good number of submissions of photos these days and we’ve seen a TON of great photos from talented photographers all over, but it’s not every day we get a submission from a photographer than shoot on multiple cameras from digital to film. There’s something about a photographer that knows how to shoot with more than just digital that is real impressive since it’s a bit of a “lost art” so to speak these days with so many people wanting instant gratification. When we received Ryan Ogawa’s photos, it was pretty clear he likes to shoot a little bit of everything with his Canon 40D and 5DMK1, Hasselblad 500c/m and an old Pentax 35mm for when an unexpected photo opportunity arises. We couldn’t pass up on these photos that Ryan shot around the Fresno, California area, so we put together a fresh new photogallery featuring Chad Osburn, Jake Ortiz, Cody Wilson, Michael Garcia and more!

“Fit’s UK contingent – Benny L. Bengo, Olly Rendle, Addy Snowdon, Farren Downes and Phil Martin – along with special guest Jordan Hango, took a trip to Lisbon, Portugal a few weeks ago. The weather was a bit blustery, but that didn’t keep the boys from getting busy. Peter Adam was on hand to capture the magic and, ta da, we now have the pleasure of revealing Part 1 of the coverage.

“Each year millions of people travel to Southern California in search of the endless summer. As the days get shorter and winter sets in this journey to the west can seem like an escape to paradise. Many flock to the Los Angeles area and upon landing immediately head a short distance westward to the coastline. I’ve done this before. I liked it. Recently, after landing at LAX I never saw the ocean or the Hollywood walk of fame. Instead, I headed east into the high desert in search of a different sort of paradise.
As BMXers we are often cut from from a different cloth. Our ideal paradise doesn’t always include the sandy beaches, fancy nightclubs or resorts. Sometimes we are just happy to ride a new spot and explore the road less traveled.”
