Here’s a video Hadrien Picard cooked up when he spent some time with Brad Simms in Paris, France recently. This video doesn’t really have any riding, but it does give you a lot of insight into how he lives his life. This is great and I cannot wait to see the other video that he’s working on with the riding.
“Brad Simms is a unique BMX pro rider : He left home 7 years ago & since then has travelled by himself, only with his BMX , in more that a hundred of countries.
He was recently in Paris for a month, filming a new video part, with Sebastien Prot, that will be online very soon.
Hadrien Picard followed them a couple of days to shoot photos for the next issues of Soul & Freedom Magazine.
On the last day he took his video camera & asked him some questions about his unique way of life.

The title for this one is pretty questionable, but I guess the way kids are riding these days it might be possible. Get some advice from Alex Coleborn on Barrel Rolls and then send a few yourself!
“Have a spare moment? Want to learn to barrel roll on BMX? Well, this video probably won’t get you all the way there, but it will get you started. In an ideal world you would have a foam pit in which you could practice. In a less than ideal world you would have a ‘resi’ or resin ramp, which is a softer version of a normal ramp. In the real world you have a chipped concrete fun box that is usually mobbed by children on scooters. No matter, we push onward! Listen closely as Alex details the ways to take off, spot the landing, and stomp the trick. Then watch as his friend makes numerous painful-looking attempts. Hopefully it will be a little easier for you.“

Depsite Indiana getting pounded with snow the night before, it didn’t keep riders from hitting the New Republic skatepark for the first round of The Battle for Northern Indiana! Check out the full results right here!
Wow… Just spotted this video of Kyle Bouley over on Tables and Fables and was blown away… Check out Kyle absolutely charging and CRUSHING spots. This guy is not scared to send it down a rail. The last clip is huge.
