Product: Liquid Bikes – Feedback 24″ Frame

December 14, 2013

Frames900_600x

Here’s a new name that popped up in my inbox called Liquid bikes. Now, before you go and say “Oh, great, another brand” I should point out these guys are doing things a little differently and working on 24″ cruisers. They just released the 2nd version of their Feedback frame that is pretty dialed. This frame is made right here in the U.S.A with True Temper 4130 chromoly and features a 74-degree head tube angle, a 72-degree seat tube angle, 9.15″ stand over height, 12.7″ bottom bracket height and a 14.25″ chain stay length. The Feedback frame features double butted top and down tubes, an externally butted seat tube, laser cut seat and chain stay bridges, 2.3″ tire clearance, 30-tooth max sprocket clearance and non-removable brake mounts. The frame comes with 22″ and 22.3″ top tube options and colors of root beer, clear coat raw and Satin black with a weight of 5 lbs. even. This frame is designed to work with 24″ wheels and is ideal for the older guys or the taller trails riders out there. You can find out more about the frame and Liquid bikes by visiting their website.

When I think Lima… Barspins are one of the tricks that just don’t come to mind anywhere close to first. But you better believe he has that trick on lock down! Check out this how-to video with plenty of advice on how to chuck those bars and examples. Give it a watch then go give them a go if you can’t do them yet!

I honestly always forget how good Mike Fede is until I see some fresh footage to be reminded that he crushes it. Check out this new promo video from Hyper where Mike throws down some technical ramp tricks along with a little street action to go along with some of the specs and info on his signature Jiggawatt frame.

Miscreant Wrekreation – “Get Some” Frank Macchio Teaser

December 14, 2013

Here’s a little gem I spotted over on Flat Matters from one of our favorite street and flatland riders, Frank Macchio, who is apparently working on a full part for the “Get Some” video from the Miscreant Wrekreation crew. Take a peek at this goodness he won’t be using for his part.

5050 Servings of Pedal Thrash

December 14, 2013

You cannot go wrong when Denny Pascasio gets in the mix… Either the riding will be awesome or you will pee your pants laughing… More than likely, both will happen if you actually have an uncontrollable bladder. That’s actually way off from the point. Collateral dropped this video of Denny, his little brother Josh Pascasio and Kevin Valot getting some time in at 5050 Skatepark! Check it!

December 13, 2013

Here it finally is! Defgrip premiered the Beat Ass documentary that Fraser Byrne has put together from the Lords of Fun trip that the FBM crew took this past summer! This is 19 minutes of pure goodness and a must see! Check it!

Background:
Crandall and I had been talking about working on a project together for a couple of years, but the invite for Lords of Fun 3 couldn’t have come at a worse time; I was stone broke and had no business booking airline tickets. I had totally given up on going. Then pictures started surfacing of dudes starting their journey to Richmond, pics of Leland and co on the side of the road with a weird little dog, pics of open roads, bikes, sunsets and middle America. I felt like I was missing out already and I couldn’t stand it. So I booked the ticket and 48-hours later I found myself at a Greyhound bus station in the sweltering heat of Richmond, VA. Crandall arrived sweating profusely and it was full throttle from there on out. This film documents some of the weirdness that ensued over the next 3 days . . . -Fraser Byrne

All connected by a common element within bicycle culture, A bunch of friends, motivated by good times, and the thrill of adventure, teamed up with London based filmmaker Fraser Byrne, resulting in this tiny film, titled “Beat Ass: On the road with the Lords of Fun”.
The moniker is nothing more than a tongue and cheek proclamation of sorts, an excuse to invite a bunch of friends from far reaching corners of the earth, and all walks of life, to get together for a good time. It’s unaffiliated, unfunded, unsolicited, and somewhat unintentional, it’s just a reason to get together and get some kicks.
We loosely planned a trip to the coast From Richmond Va, to the Outer Banks, using the FBM bikes Tour bus, a dozen or so motorbikes, and all of our gear, (sleeping bags, bikes, skateboards, fireworks, etc…) Our goal was to hit up a bunch of skateparks, campsites, a dirt dragstrip, and what have you, for a long weekend. We ended up getting trapped in a tidewater suburban nightmare, under the veil of a tropical storm warning, roads were flooded, rain and winds all but made moto travel impossible, the drags got cancelled, and well you get the idea… We still managed to make tuna fish out of tuna shit, just nothing like we initially pictured as we rolled out of town for our first hundred or so miles…
For a few days, as silly as it was, our own shared absurdity, was our only reality.
Having fun is an essential part of having a good time – Steve Crandall
