Thomas Glew was sitting on some footage of Rob Armour and himself getting some time in down in Greenville sitting on his computer. Instead of letting it go to waste, he tossed it together for this rad little edit for you to check out. Other than the de-interlacing issue, this one is dialed.

“Kevin Peraza Claims First Place at the Vans Off The Wall BMX Invitational in Virginia Beach
Saturday’s Podium Ceremony Honors Last Year’s Injured BMX Rider Brett Banasiewicz
Kevin Peraza took first place and $5,000 today at the Vans Off the Wall BMX Invitational which kicked off Friday, August 23 during the 51st Annual ECSC Beach Festival in Virginia Beach. Due to strong wind conditions and safety precautions, final winners were determined by Friday’s heated qualifiers race, where Kevin Peraza rivaled runner-up Daniel Sandoval in a fierce battle between two new-school, tech rippers. Landing massive bar spins and tail whip combinations and reaching impressive heights, the top three finalists, including Vans’ own Ryan Guettler in third place, brought high-level BMX action to Virginia Beach once again.
Preceding an exciting closing demo, Vans honored BMX rider Brett Banasiewicz, who was severely injured during last year’s BMX competition. Steve Van Doren presented Brett, accompanied by his family, a custom Vans guitar along with a matching first place prize of $5,000. Brett’s condition continues to improve and Vans wishes the best for the Banasiewicz family.
Final Top Three
1. Kevin Peraza (Tucson, Arizona) – $5,000
2. Daniel Sandoval (Corona, CA) – $3,750
3. Ryan Guettler (Beenleigh, AUS) – $3,000
The 51st Annual Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships presented by Vans wraps up Sunday, August 25th with skate and BMX demos on the beach alongside the oldest surf contest in North America and the second longest continuously run surf contest in the world.

Sunday – Visual How To: Chain Tensioners
If you ever wondered how simple the Sunday Bikes integrated chain tensioners are to use…
“Sunday Bikes has offered chain tensioners built into our hollow dropouts on select frames since 2007. Currently, it’s offered on the Soundwave, Funday 2.1 and Wave C frame. The system is really simple and will hold your wheel in place. During the filming of our Up, Up and Away video, Jake Seeley was having hub issues and rode a 10 day trip with his wheel barely tight. The chain tensioners were able to prevent his wheel from moving even though the axle was not fully tighten down. Here is a brief explanation of how they work.” – Sunday Bikes
