ESPN BMX dropped this rad new edit featuring some extra clips Bobby Kanode isn’t planning on using for his DVD that he’s working on. I’d imagine this video will be packed with goodness based on these “extras”.
“Arizona filmmaker Bobby Kanode is hard at work on a new DVD depicting the riding in his area, and along the way, he’s been steadily collecting footage from area skateparks. In the above video, Kanode zeroes in on the ‘Young Thundercat’ crew in Glendale, Ariz., featuring the likes of Cody Clark, Dawson Clark, Troy Blair, Jake Cohoe, Andrew Krueger, Dean Watson, Arnaud Wolff, Linwood Monk and Clay Johnson. It’s been a little while since we’ve seen a good backflip to crankflip combo (probably since Danny Hickerson’s Props bio), but Kanode and crew come though on all that and more in the above video.”

Head over to Fat BMX to get a closer look at Dennis Enarson’s current setup. There’s been some heavy bangers done on that unit, I can guarantee that.

Get over to the Cinema Wheel Co. website to check out a quick Q&A with Bruno Hoffmann and Dan Lacey about their recent trip to Israel. Sounds like is was crazy as hell. Check it!
Here’s a quick commercial for La Costa Norte featuring Ema Scutella for you to take a peek at. Real good riding and some real good spots. Enjoy.

Live near Huntington Beach, California? Get stoked because it looks like Vans is opening up a new skatepark this coming spring that looks dialed as hell. Check out the press release below along with two more photos after the jump. I want to ride this place!
“VANS’ OFF THE WALL SKATEPARK AND
GARAGE SKATE SHOP COMING TO HUNTINGTON BEACH SPRING 2013
Featuring Huge Lit Bowl and Street Skate Plazas, the Park will be Free to the Public
Huntington Beach, CA (December 13, 2012) – Vans and Jack’s Surfboards today began construction of a 30,000 square foot Off the Wall Skatepark and Garage Skate Shop with a “ground breaking” ceremony in Huntington Beach. The park complex, expected to open in early spring, will be free to the public and features two lighted skate areas catering to both bowl and street skating, the Garage Skate Shop combined with a skate park pro shop and snack bar, landscaped seating areas, restrooms and drinking fountains. Vans is making a long-term, multi-million dollar investment in the Huntington Beach community with the project.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to work with Jack’s to bring a world-class skate park to Huntington Beach for the entire community to enjoy,” said Vans President Kevin Bailey. “Vans and Jack’s are both Orange County-grown originals and the Off the Wall Skatepark underscores our commitment to skaters and BMX riders in the area.”
“Although known as ‘Surf City,’ Huntington Beach is arguably the Action Sports capital of the world,” said Doug Palladini, Vans Vice President, Marketing. “We appreciate the City of Huntington Beach and especially the City Council giving us the opportunity to build this incredible park that will inspire the next generation of skateboarders and BMX riders.”
Located on Center Avenue just east of Gothard Street, Off the Wall Skatepark design will combine street and transition features within the 30,000 square foot lighted park. The park includes a 15,000 square foot bowl area with a competition, backyard, and beginner bowl and a 12,000 square foot street plaza with enough features to please every type of rider. Vans skateboard legend and Huntington Beach resident Christian Hosoi contributed to the intricacies of the bowl design in collaboration with California Skateparks who designed the overall park layout and will direct construction.
The on-site, 3,000 square foot Garage Skate Shop will double as a fully-stocked skate shop featuring Vans and other top brands and a pro shop with skate equipment and rentals. The building design strives to minimize environmental impact utilizing re-purposed shipping containers in its construction. This will be the third Garage Skate Shop following the Huntington Beach Main Street store and a location in Dana Point.
The Off the Wall Skatepark is Vans’ second skate park in Orange County, following the Vans Skatepark built in 1998 at the Outlets at Orange.”
Andy Kawahara sent through this edit from some of the footage he has been collecting with the East Bay crew lately. They’ve got fireworks, shotgunning beers and BMX. Good enough for me, haha. Take a peek.
