Earlier this year, BMX lost a legend. Mike Tag was a rider who pushed BMX to better places and made people better people. Some of you older riders might remember his signature frame called the Night Train that was released originally in 2001. FBM wanted to pay a tribute to Mike and create a way for them to donate some money to the Ithaca Skatepark Fund in memory of him. They have welded up 50 limited edition Night Train frames that will be available in November.
This 4130 chromoly frame features a 74-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 8.5″ stand over height, 11.75″ bottom bracket height and a 13.875″ chainstay length. The Night Train features Super Therm heat-treating on the top and down tube, an internally machined mid bottom bracket, an internally butted seat tube, 3D last cut down tube gusset, seat stay brake mounts and heat-treated 3/16″ dropouts. The Night Train will be available in 20.75″, 21″ and 21.25″ top tube lengths with colors of gloss black and clear coat and a weight of 5lbs.
You can find out more about the frame along with checking out more photos here. You can hit up Last Call distribution to get yourself one ordered up as well. Don’t forget this is very limited so act fast.
FBM have also released this tribute edit to go along with the news that’s loaded up with goodness.
