Firsts: Will Stroud

November 1, 2012

Interview by Mark Noble

Unless you’ve been hiding in a cave somewhere, you will have seen and loved Will Stroud’s video work – creating some of the most popular BMX videos over the past ten years, Will always puts a focus and creative edge into his video parts, be it with Nathan Williams, Corey Martinez, Chris Doyle, Garrett Reynolds, Van Homan, Jamie Bestwick… the list goes on and on. Don’t forget he also balances his video work with running three stacked BMX teams under the Greenhouse umbrella; it helps having the likes of Cinema, Duo, and Verde on tap to film with, that’s for sure. So we caught up with Will in between filming duties currently with Monster and working on the upcoming full-length DVD for Cinema…

Colony in the U.K

November 1, 2012

I’ve been waiting for Colony to drop this one… This is one you DO NOT want to miss! Enjoy!

“In early September 2012 Ryan Guettler, Chris Courtenay and Clint Millar headed over to the UK for 9 days. We met up with UK riders Liam Vance and Sam Davies-Bate and trekked a ridiculous amount of kilometres to a bunch of cool BMX shops and parks hanging out with anyone that was out and about.
Thanks to all the riders and shops that we met and also to Tabeltop Distribution for planning it all out.
Filmed and Edited by Cooper Brownlee
Check out issue 169 of Ride UK for an article from the trip along with 2020 BMX Magazine in Australia.
The photos used in the intro were from the riders we hung out along with the team via instagram #colonybmxuk

Product: Sunday – Primer & Primer Jr Complete Bikes

November 1, 2012

This is interesting. It sounds like Sunday were forced to change the name of their Spark complete bikes. They’re now called the Primer and Primer Jr. Here’s what they said on the site.

“We’re excited to announce the release of the Sunday Primer and Primer Jr. What is the Primer? Due to circumstances beyond our control, we’ve had to rename the Spark and Lil Spark. The Primer and Primer Jr. are the same affordable and reliable bikes, just with a new name. To celebrate this name change, we are releasing 3 new colors in two sizes. First, we have a new 21″ TT size that is offered in Matte Silver and Blue Wave colors. Next, we have a Seafoam Green in a 20.5″ TT size. Look for the new colors of the Primer and Primer Jr available starting late next week.” – Sunday
