This is what summer should be like for everyone!
“The Northern Embassy held a contest over Canada Day weekend requesting BMX riders from across the country to document the holiday however they saw fit and share it with the many scenes from coast to coast.
The Embassy asked us to ‘”create a short video that is representative of how much fun [you] are having with [your] friends, which is the biggest reason we all ride bikes.” We took the opportunity to show our friends across the globe how much and why we love the great city of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
We started filming the morning of Saturday, June 30th, and wrapped up on Monday, the 2nd of July. All footage is in chronological order. We also used music produced exclusively in Winnipeg by some of our most talented local artists (one of which is a rider, David McNabb, who is featured in this video).
REPSET is proud to present a weekend in Winnipeg, our favourite city on earth.
MUSIC (in order of appearance).

Cory Nastazio came across some footage of Nick Cooper from last summer and decided to edit it up into this rad video. What I want to know is where did Nick Cooper go? It’s been forever since I’ve seen some fresh clips of him.
If you have ever been to Joyride you already know the place is absolutely MASSIVE and filled with so much to ride. It looks like that wasn’t enough because they’re expanding the park even more! Check out the full press release below…
“MARKHAM, ON – Joyride150 Indoor Bike Park has announced that it is expanding its indoor riding area to over 102,500sqft from its original size of 90,000sqft. The new space is said to be “street inspired” and will include ledges, boxes, and banks, as well as a mini ramp for that all important progression. Along with the outdoor dirt jump section that opened in the spring of 2012, Joyride150 now boasts over 117,000sqft of riding bliss – an increase of more than 25%.
The new indoor section is scheduled to open August 2012 and is designed to add more riding space and fresh features for the tens of thousands of bike riders that visit the park annually. Since the park opened in December of 2009, Joyride150 has seen more than 100,000 riders of all ages and disciplines!”
Amazing…
If you have been around BMX long enough, there’s a chance you have seen Fernando Gomarín Olaiz popping up in the background of videos from all the different crews that have visited Barcelona the past few years. Fernando is a huge part of the scene there and I believe he’s the go to guy if you need a tour guide in the city. Check out this edit of him putting in some work on the streets of Barcelona for La Costa Norte and We Are Orange Juice. So good!
Damn! How good does the new Forever stem look!? Check out the flipbook above to get all the details and start saving your money up for this one because it’s available in a front and top load version EVERYWHERE now.

“We’ve finally put it online. This dvd was made over two years of filming and another year of me slacking on editing. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It started as a series of web video’s that we thought could work as a dvd so we put in some more work and here it is. Enjoy.” -Veesh
