August 14, 2012

Rob DiQuattro and Damian Racut made a trip up to Milwaukee to hang out and ride with Jeff Klugiewicz, Mike Hinkens and some of the other Milwaukee locals. Check out some clips Damian filmed on his iPhone. I’d imagine more of this will be popping up since I spotted a few clips of Jeff filming too.

Harry Main Off Nike

August 14, 2012

Well, this just blew my mind. Harry Main is no longer riding for Nike. Harry announced it on his Facebook Fan Page a little bit ago. Why or where he’s going hasn’t been announced, but I’m sure there had to be a real good offer on the table to make this decision. Until then… Let the speculation begin.

Tanner Nelson Interview

August 14, 2012

Photo: Justin Kosman

Flash back a couple years ago. It was my second Interbike and for some reason I decided to only book a flight and see if I could just find a place to crash to save some money. One thing lead to another and all the sudden I’m crashing in this dude’s parents time share a ways off the strip. At the time, I had no idea who this guy was other than he was hilarious and rode BMX. It’s always pretty cool how things work out if you just don’t plan anything. But yeah, in the end I had a place to stay and I was able to meet Tanner Nelson for the first time. Since then, Tanner has gone on to get a pretty solid reputation in BMX with his web videos that are always loaded with goodness and his ridiculous Twitter account. After taking a little time away from BMX due to some health issues, he recently re-joined The Take‘s team with some refreshed energy. We decided to catch up with one of the masters of the Griz Air to find out where he went and what’s new. Let’s see what he had to say!

Name: Tanner Nelson

Wethepeople – Down Under in Portland

August 14, 2012

Wethepeople‘s Australian riders, Nick Harris and Tim Storey recently made a trip to Portland, Oregon to find out what all the hype was about. It looks like they took full advantage of their time there and came through with this dialed edit.

“Nick Harris and Tim Storey spent a couple weeks in Portland Oregon. As you can see they destroyed the city in true Australian style.
Filmed by Chester Blacksmith and Mark Rainha, Edited by Mark Rainha.

August 14, 2012

If you caught the sneak peek we posted up yesterday, you would have saw that we mentioned that we would be getting a closer look at each of the new Sunday frames over the next few days. Today, Sunday dropped all the specs and info about the Soundwave frame.

The Soundwave is the updated version of the 3rd Wave frame. This 41-Thermal heat-treated frame features a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.5″ bottom bracket height and a 13.5″ – 13.75″ chainstay length. The Soundwave has the Wave down and top tube, the updated “boxed” tube chain stays which gives you more tire clearance, hollow drop outs, the Director style wishbone, post-weld machining of the bottom bracket and head tube, a new screw-in cable guide and the cable channel and integrated chain tensioners.
The Soundwave is available in 20.75″, 21″ and 21.25″ top tube lengths with color options of Black Magic and Garrett Reeves signature Ice Green. The frame also comes with a lifetime warranty which you can find out more about right here.

This frame will be available everywhere Sunday is available in September.
