Drawing Board: Animal Butcher Peg
Unless you have been hiding underneath a rock for the past year or so, you will have noticed the rapidly growing popularity of the Plastic Peg in BMX. Now the choice of Peg for some of the biggest street riders in the business such as Nathan Williams, Corey Martinez, Ben Lewis and Tony Hamlin, the Animal Butcher Peg has caused quite a stir in the Skateparks, Streets and Message Boards around the world. I caught up with Animal Bike’s Product Manager Frank Lam and the Peg’s creator and street legend Joe “Butcher” Kowalski to discuss the history and origins of the marble ledge’s new best friend…
Chad Kerley’s Vitaminwater Invitational
It looks like Chad Kerley and Vitaminwater are teaming up to throw a contest wtih a $20,000 pro purse! There’s not a lot of information, but TCU thinks it is going down at The Bakery since they got the logo on there. If that is the case, I need to get an invite since I’d drive down to Chicago to shoot some photos for surrrrrre. Either way, it looks like it’s going to be a good time and there will be a live broadcast on the Ride BMX site. Look at how stacked that invite list is…

Diamondback: Darin Read – More BMX Videos
I could always use more Darin Read footage! Stoked on this.
“Always a treat to see fresh footage of Northwest legend Darin Read. In this new video from Diamondback, he shreds cement skateparks, a few street spots, and some gnarly trails in the Seattle, Washington and Austin, Texas areas. Credit: Diamondback”
Vans – Our House Jam Edit
Want to see some more footage from the Our House jam that went down at Seventies a week or so ago? Of course you do! Vans just dropped this new edit that Green Films put together. So good and some footage the other edits didn’t have…
“A few weeks ago EMEA BMX rider Ben Hennon held an invite BMX jam at the Seventies Our House unit. His vision was to invite the UK´s and some of the best EU´s riders and jam together for a full day. In the end the judges decided to honor the three most outstanding riders with top 3 places.
Needless to say that everyone had a blast!!
Well done Ben – BMX needs more events like this!!

Little Kicker Quick Hit With Cory Furmage and Friends
< target="_blank" href="http://www.veinbmx.com">Vein dropped this fresh edit of Cory Furmage getting a session in on his driveway kicker setup with his brother Chris, Alex Rubio and Cory’s dad, William. A little front brake action to start the day off right.
I’m stoked on the clips of William. Always rad to see a dad throwing down with the kids.

LUX BMX dropped this fresh new edit of Mike Vockenson getting some chill park and street session time in. Have a look! It’s worth it!
Riding Way – Warrnambool Road Trip
Plenty of good riding from the Riding Way crew in this new edit. Plus, that park looks fun as hell!
“A few of the Riding Way team and associates headed to check out the extensions that had recently been put on the skatepark. We stopped at Geelong on the way there and way back, it was a pretty chill weekend, so I hope the edit reflects that.”
