“Brian Kachinsky is auctioning off his bike and YOU should bid on it. Back in October fellow etnies & DK teammate Nina B had a gnarly crash and has since then needed help with medical bills. This is BK’s way of contributing and letting you all be a part of it. Check out his TransWorld’s Bike Check for Brian’s DK Passport and bid on it via eBay.
Get well, Nina!” – Etnies
“This past weekend, DK’s Brett Banasiewicz hosted the first-ever contest at his newly built skatepark dubbed The Kitchen, in his hometown of South Bend, Ind. Pros from around the country trudged through the Midwest snow for their chance to ride the indoor setup and compete for a chunk of the $6,000 purse courtesy of Brett’s sponsors (DK, DC Shoes, Dan’s Comp, Rockstar, Pantech, and Ethika.) The Kitchen local Glenn Salyers (who helped design and build the park) gave everyone a run for their money, but Pat Casey’s smooth and original 360 variations and overall consistency gave him an edge and landed him on top of the podium when all was said and done.

“This is Jesus Perez, a New York City local. Born in The Dominican Republic, he’s spent half his life growing up here in Brooklyn. He’s a great guy to be around and a lot of fun to ride with. We hope you’ll enjoy these lines he put down just before the New Year. More good things to expect from Mr. Perez in 2012.

A few months back, I heard on the radio that Youtube was going to be launching 100 premium channels with different brands and celebrities that would feature higher quality videos. Combined each of these channels would produce over 25 hours of original footage everyday (that’s an hour more than a day for those of you counting). I thought it was pretty interesting, but didn’t really think too much of it.
Fast forward to a few weeks back and I get an email asking if I would be interested in helping one of these channels called Network A get rolling by compiling some lists of some of the best videos to pop up online.
This channel is an action sports specific channel (BMX, skate, snow, ski, moto and surf) that will feature original videos from some of the top film makers and riders from around the world from all these sports, along with some of the best of what Youtube already has to offer.
Fast forward to today, and they finally launched the channel for the world to see and I’m psyched. This channel will be a featured channel that will put BMX among the others sports in front of the millions of people who may check out the channel.
Above you can find the first original BMX video to premiere in the BMX Section featuring Chad Kerley and Connor Lodes getting in a round of Calling The Shots by none other than Justin Kosman. After you check out the video, go check out what Network A is all about since I have a feeling you will be hearing a lot more about it in the future.
