Product: Sunday Aaron / Gary AM / EX Completes

September 16, 2011

Introducing the 2012 Aaron / Gary EX from Sunday Bikes

“Today, we are introducing you to the new 2012 Aaron Ross and Gary Young EX complete bikes. This video features Alex Magallan manualling his way around the Boulder Skatepark. The EX level bikes offer even more features and aftermarket parts than the AM level. The bike has 6 different Odyssey aftermarket parts including Quadrant rims, tires, Principal seat, grips, Quik-Slic cable and Twisted PC pedals. The EX also comes with the Sunday Freeze stem as well as the new Sunday Sabretooth sprocket. The frame is mostly chromoly with both the bars and forks being full chromoly. Starting at the EX level, the gearing is upgraded to 28-9 for a more pro level feel. Both bikes have a 20.75″ top tube with a 13.375″ rear end length. Aaron’s bike is avocado/neon orange and Gary’s is fire engine red/gold. Available in early October.”

Introducing the new 2012 Aaron / Gary AM from Sunday Bikes

“We would like to continue introducing the new 2012 bike lineup by showing you the new Aaron Ross/Gary Young AM complete bikes. This video features flow guy, Will Donohue, barspinning to fakie on a dragon slide while riding the Gary AM. These bikes are the next step up from the Spark. The AM’s upgrades include Odyssey Quik-Slic cable and Odyssey Twisted PC pedals. Plus the frame has chromoly Wave downtube, headtube and dropouts. The Aaron model comes in a 20.5″ toptube while the Gary comes in a 21″ toptube. Gary’s bike is navy blue with orange and Aaron’s is a throwback to the toothpaste color of the First Wave frame. Look for these to be available in early October.” – Sunday

Athlete Recovery Fund Video

September 16, 2011

“For the third year in a row, Ball Park has pledged funds to the Athlete Recovery Fund, a non-profit organization that offers financial support for rehabilitation and long-term care for those athletes in BMX, FMX and skateboarding who are left without support following an injury. Together, with the Athlete Recovery Fund, Ball Park has created a promotional video that highlights the plight of the injured action sports athlete, and the efforts the Athlete Recovery Fund has undertaken to aid injured athletes.

For each person who watches the video, Ball Park will donate $1 dollar to ARF (up to $100,000). The video features the likes of Mike ‘Hucker’ Clark, Gary Young, Chase Hawk and Mat Hoffman, whom have all been injured while riding and forced to deal with the rising costs of medical bills.

Created by Aaron Cooke, brother of BMX pro Allan Cooke and a former motocross rider himself, the Athlete Recovery Fund was founded following the career-ending injury of BMX dirt jumper Stephen Murray in 2007. Murray was paralyzed from the shoulders down, and Cooke was forced to realize that there was no program in place to provide assistance to injured action sports athletes, who are often unable to obtain health insurance.

Through Cooke’s efforts, the Athlete Recovery Fund was able to provide Murray with much-needed long term assistance, such as a modified sprinter van with wheelchair access. Murray remains a spokesperson for the Athlete Recovery Fund, and continues to work closely with Cooke. And in the four years since the creation of the Athlete Recovery Fund, the charity has also provided aid to countless professionals in BMX, FMX and skateboarding.

Ricky Lopez Humpty Edit

September 16, 2011

“Ricky is a really creative rider that likes to go out, ride, and have fun as long as it has to do with bikes. Super humble guy that is DTF. Modern age minimalist that likes to do bike tire shenanigans, most of this edit is underhanded which makes it a must watch! This edit is for Amity Bike Co., huge shout out to them.
