BMX road trip

Well, look at that… A whole week has flown by and I don’t even know where it went. Well, I do since there’s a whole bunch of content up on the site now. What I mean is that I got back from Toronto last monday and haven’t posted up the random photos I shot on the trip. Last thursday I made my way over to Milwaukee to meet up with Jon Wells, Jeff Dowhen, Grant Castelluzzo, Tippy and Nirve where we all loaded into the infamous Sun Ringle van and headed towards Canadia for the Toronto BMX Jam. During a stormy mid-February week in Northern California, several members of the Solid Bikes team traveled to the Southwest US to keep it lit and avoid the rain. In Part 2 the team continues to makes its way through Arizona, hitting up Tempe and the northern Phoenix suburbs to do the most. Finally they turn towards Riverside, CA to close out the trip with S&M’s Cory Walters. Walls were ridden, ledges were railed, dirt was jumped, crashes were burned, and drops were inned. Who you gonna tell?

Featuring Tristan Adams, Jase Knack, Jake Honesto, Kevin Malia, Nick Black, John Ivers, Nick Hammer, Dustin Mata, Bryan Buswell, Gerald Norman, Chris McMahon, and also Cory Walters.

Dishonour – 2011 Trip Edit Teaser

The Dishonour crew took a trip through Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide to film for a team edit that will drop with the new issue of 2020 Magazine. This is a just a quick teaser so expect to see a full edit soon enough.

Kind of a random note that I saw. The crew used a company out of Australia called Road Tripz which is a BMX/Skateboard/Surfing trip bus service. They basically will take care of all the driving for teams or groups of riders looking to do a trip. The concept of this is pretty interesting because if you think about how many road trips go down, but everyone just wants to party and nobody wants to drive, then this could be used. Hit their site and find out more, I’m curious if something like this could work in other countries…

Ray’s – Boss Ray 2011 Contest

Ray from Ray’s MTN Bike park is throwing a contest on April 2nd in Cleveland similar to the one they held last year. There’s $5,000 up for grabs to whoever can produce the best video in the Cleveland building. The only catch is that you have to produce an edit from your home to get an invitation to this event and submit it. It’s open to everyone versus last years that was only open to Pro BMX/MTN team combos. Check out the video then hit the link above to find out more details.
