BMX UNION

It was really cool meeting Gaz and Joe since I have been emailing with them for a while now. So naturally I was excited to get to the Mutiny stuff. They really got some good looking stuff coming out!

One of the craziest things about Interbike is all the people you meet. I finally got to meet Chris fricken Moeller.. Yeah, I don’t know maybe I freak out too easily? So they had the new/old Dirt Bike there. Awesome. Along with the usual awesome goods they have had for years. S&M

So, I am pretty sure I am going to get my ass kicked for this but… Whoever the girl was that works for Sparkys distrobution.. I am pretty sure I had a crush on her haha. I am sure she is somebodies girlfriend and that dude will kick my ass. Whatever, back to my point. Subrosa was in the Sparky’s booth which was really awesome. I liked it, just not how packed it always was. Ryan Sher is awesome and has some good stuff coming out. One would be the Eli Platt complete, comes out of the box just how Eli rides it. Litterally.
The whole Subrosa team had their bikes stolen at some point in the last year, so Ryan is fixing that by making big ass bike locks. Awesome.
Subrosa is known for the black and white colors, however, this year it will change a bit. They will be adding in a translucent flat red to go with it. They didn’t have anything from it but I cannot wait to see what that looks like.
Also, they will be doing a fixed gear.
Did I mention Ryan Sher is awesome and that I had a crush on that girl?

I didn’t really see anybody to talk to about the Federal stuff. I am still way into their new frames they have out already. I don’t know what else to tell ya. Looks good is all I can say.

Rich Hirsch has a lot of stuff going on these days. He is involved with a lot of stuff and it is awesome. I stopped by his Lotek/Fremont booth and it was actually tiny compared to the rest of the companies. He put it best “I like it simple.” That works for me.

Eastern always has something awesome going on. There are far too many kids who talk way too much shit on the company and it is stupid. They are just trying new things, and trying to progress BMX. There is a photo below of a fork with a huge cut out in the legs. Why? Well, Leigh had asked me to tell you guys it is a new prototype. Why? Because it would be funny. Infact, it was just to show what kind of tubing it is. They have some really cool new things in the works and I am excited to see where that goes this year.

My very first custom built up bike was a Macneil Ruben. Yeah dude! That frame was and still is amazing. It was pretty cool to stop by the booth to meet Jay, and Harrison. I am really into the things they got going. I guess they want to expand into racing, and just anything related to bikes except for road and mountain bikes obviously. So I expect a lot of interesting things to come from them as time goes on.

Dave Jacobs is awesome. It was a lot of fun partying with that guy. I stopped by the Micreation booth and checked out the photos. Dave said they will have a new video out similar to the ones where you paid for access, but actually on DVD this time around. Should be good.
