Hobie Doan Crushing Long Beach
You can always count on Hobie Doan to deliver the goods, especially in a place like Long Beach. Here’s a fresh edit loaded with clips of Hobie slaying spots all over the city! No shortage of grinds, rail rides and more! Take a look, you won’t be disappointed.
“Despite never actually living in Long Beach, Hobie Doan is practically a local with how often he’s in town. He and LB local Forrest Hawk have been slowly collecting clips each time Hobie passed through town and they eventually stacked enough for this part. This is like organic, everyday Hobie right here. Good watch!” – Our BMX
“Knowing Hobie for about five years now it’s always a pleasure to have him in front of the camera with his high energy and positive vibes on the bike! With him living in Oregon, each time he came to visit California the last few years, we were able to go out and stack up some fun footage out in the streets of Long Beach. Nothing but good times and all smiles with this dude!” — Forrest Hawk

Vans “Foot The Bill” – BMX Support!
This is pretty rad! We’ve seen a bunch of different ways popping up to help support local businesses during the shutdown caused by COVID-19, and it really does help. Vans announced their new “Foot The Bill” collaboration program that gives shops, indoor parks and more the chance to design their own shoe that Vans can produce and sell with proceeds going directly to the business that you choose to support. So far it’s pretty much mostly skate related, but there are two BMX options that you can choose to support so far; The Wheel Mill and Kings Ride Shop! The shoes are designed on the classic Vans Slip-On with their own custom design. Up top you can check out The Wheel Mill’s logo, and down below is the Kings Ride Shop design! These are available on the Vans website now for $90 each. Sure, it’s a little pricier, but proceeds go directly to The Wheel Mill or Kings Ride Shop if you pick a pair up! Hopefully we see a few more BMX shops or parks pop up here soon! Either way, you can check out the full list of shops, parks, restaurants and music venues they have designs for right here!
“Dear Vans Family,
We know how important small businesses are: We were one. You helped us become what we are, and we want to help our community and extended members of our Vans Family during this difficult time. We have partnered with local and community-driven skate shops, restaurants, art galleries and music venues to support them with custom-designed Vans footwear. Net proceeds* from the sale of each pair of these very special Vans Customs will go directly to our small business partners in this time of need. With the purpose of continuing to enable creative expression, please join us as we lend a helping hand to our Vans Family.
Keep Going,
Steve Van Doren
*All proceeds less the costs of production and shipment will be paid to the local and community driven skate shops, restaurants, art galleries and music venues” – Vans

Behind The Scenes of Vans “Homestead”
When you’re watching a BMX video, it’s easy to forget how much time and work went into making the video. The other day the Vans “Homestead” video dropped and it was a banger featuring Dennis Enarson, Corey Walsh and Jason Watts that was filmed and edited by Christian Rigal in Dennis’ new and improved backyard ramp setup. The video is an absolute banger that is just shy of 4 minutes long. What you don’t see is all the time that went into rebuilding the ramp and the multiple nights of filming, all the lighting and camera gear, and more. Here’s a raw cut giving us a little behind the scenes look at one of the nights of filming and just what was going down! Check out the full video down below if you missed it or want another look!
“Dennis Enarson’s private ramps have been done for a good while, but he’s kept them under wraps in anticipation of “Homestead.” I went out on the final night of filming and captured the vibe of the filming session. Enjoy!” – Our BMX
