Ty Callais & Brendan Bertolini Split Edit

April 21, 2020

Here’s a fresh edit that popped up featuring Ty Callais and Brendan Bertolini going to work on spots out in the Bay Area. These guys put their pegs to good use on a bunch of rails and ledges, send some heavy drops and even throw in some magic on some dirt. Hit play and take a look. This is a real solid BMX video!

“All filmed in the Bay Area, both Ty and Brendan are such amazing riders with two different styles so it was a treat to make this split edit. With the help of my college friend Mitch Segal, who makes beats, he was able to make this music track custom for me for this edit. Gotta love those no ‘copy right’ issues!

I have been sitting on this footage for some time now sadly but finally got around to put something together with this ‘shelter in place’ going on. Enjoy!”

How To Build A Dirt Jump In One Day

April 21, 2020

Thinking about building some dirt jumps, but you aren’t really sure where to start? Here’s a how to video Brant Moore put together from a day of digging he put in with some help. This video has some solid tips and examples to help you get the basics of building a dirt jump, which is a fairly straightforward process. So, if you want to get some trails started, this is a good way to get things going!

“Learn how to build a dirt jump for BMX or other types of bikes in just one day!
John, Ryan, and I went from talking about building a new first jump for main to having it completely done about 24 hours later. Through this came the perfect opportunity to film a how to build a dirt jump video.

This jump took about 5 and a half hours from flat ground to finished jump with almost non stop digging. Hopefully this video can help someone build their own dirt jump and if it does, please let us know in the comments below!!!” – Brant Moore

Kink BMX – Lightest Bar Ends

April 21, 2020

Kink BMX Lightest Bar Ends

The other day we were watching the video reminding us why we’ll always run bar ends and it got us thinking about the different options out there. The Lightest Bar Ends from Kink are a perfect example for the people who don’t like the plastic plugs, but they also don’t want some big bulky and heavy metal bar ends. The Lightest Bar Ends are simple and made from CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with internal grub screws to keep them in place. Simply slide them in, tighten the screw with an allen key and you’re good to go. These should also last you a lifetime unless you’re doing some weird bar end grinds or dropping your bike on its side a lot a lot.

Andy Maguire – Dad’s Junk Drawer

April 21, 2020

It has been a little while since we’ve seen a fresh BMX video from Andy Maguire, but he’s been busy living that dad life, which has cut back on the riding time, and time to make new videos. Fortunately he had some time to put together this new one from clips he’s been filming over the course of the past few years with his friends. Despite having less time, Andy still ended up coming through with some gold that we’re really stoked on featuring him and a few others going to work on spots. Hit play and check out just what they cooked up! Hopefully once things calm down a bit he’ll be able to find a little time to keep these videos coming!

“I knew that when my son was born, big life changes were sure to come. I didn’t think I’d end up sitting on two years of footage, only to get around to editing it because I was in the midst of a global pandemic. The thing is, I’ve had most of this on a timeline over the course of those two years, but it never felt right. It felt incomplete, jumbled, and a little lazy, much like that junk drawer most people seem to have in their kitchen. But when I revisited this, I started to rearrange some footage and make changes that made this feel a little more forgiving to my previous expectations. Seeing it all again through the lens of being a father, husband, employee and a bike rider(with drastically reduced hours), it didn’t feel like I was settling short. We always want to better, but sometimes you actually find what you need in that junk drawer. Once it’s organized in a functional way, it no longer has to be this cringeworthy thing in your life. So this edit is to celebrate riding while taking on new responsibilities, appreciate those who have moved in and out of town, the crew that has been with me for over a decade, the music they make, and those who might not be able to ride. Times can be difficult, but bike riding has made us strong, flexible, and capable of overcoming so many obstacles in the physical and mental realm. Enjoy!” – Andy Maguire

Luka Lopin – In One Breath

April 21, 2020

It’s always interesting hearing what people do when they aren’t riding their BMX bike. Apparently Luka Lopin spends his days doing some really crazy work in quantum physics, then proceeds to shred his bike afterwards! Here’s a fresh edit featuring Luka going to work on street spots and parks. Despite being pegless, he gets plenty of grinding done, and loves wallrides. Hit play and check out what he cooked up!

“Luka is a young mastermind and Teslian working on quantum physics and fluid dynamics. From 9 to 5 for the money, and rest of the day for the civilization. When he’s not inventing rocket science shit, he’s jumping on all kinds of walls and filming himself doing tricks on the way to the work. Enjoy!

Filmed by: Tripod, Andrej Lopin, Nebojša Resanović, Camilo Jose Chaves, Miša Đukić, Fikus, lordLeopold, Milan Babić
Music: Composed by Luka Lopin

S&M Bikes – Charlie Crumlish “Stay Home”

April 20, 2020

Charlie Crumlish needed to get something to ride to help pass the time during the shutdown, so he went out and found a bunch of pallets to build a bank to sub setup. Here’s a look at what he’s cooked up for clips in this new S&M Bikes video! Plenty of rad combos and tricks you aren’t seeing a whole lot in this one!

“Charlie “found” some “free” pallets and put them to work in his backyard, happy 4/20!” – S&M Bikes

Madera – “ABD” Extras

April 20, 2020

The Madera crew had a bunch of leftover footage from their new “ABD” DVD. Instead of letting it go to waste, they whipped up this edit filled with the clips featuring Erik Elstran, Jake Seeley, Dan Kruk, Grant Castelluzzo, Mike Hinkens, Mike Stahl, Jesse Romano, Taylor Thompson, Dylan McCauley, Jeff Dowhen, Tom Villarreal and Isaiah Johnson going to work on the streets. Hit play and take this all in, then go grab a copy of the DVDD!

“If the 52 minutes of footage in Madera’s new full-length, ABD, wasn’t enough tech street madness for you, well here’s almost nine minutes more of it for ya! And if you still haven’t snagged a copy of ABD, the level of these outtakes should be a pretty good indicator of how wild the rest of the video is.” – Our BMX
