Broc Raiford OFF Volume Bikes

January 2, 2020

View this post on Instagram

It has been nothing short of an incredible 8 years riding for @volumebikes , but today i am here to announce that I will no longer be a part of their team in 2020. I would like to take this time to thank @Briancastillo and La Wong for the never ending support as well as the opportunity to grow with them during our time together! Thank you to all my teammates for the camaraderie and non-stop laughs over the years, y’all will always be family despite this change.

A post shared by Broc Raiford (@brocraiford) on Jan 1, 2020 at 11:51am PST

It’s a new year, and with that being said, it means we’ll be seeing some sponsor changes happening. Some will be pretty predictable, others unexpected, some will end on good terms, others on bad. Today we found out that Broc Raiford has decided to step down from the Volume Bikes team after 8 years with the brand. Fortunately it looks like, despite it being pretty unexpected outside of Broc and Volume, things ended on real good terms and both sides had nothing but good things to say. You can check out Broc’s post about the news above and Volume’s down below…

Now, the question is… Where is Broc heading? The first that comes to mind is Sunday with his long time sponsor Odyssey being an obvious reason why that would work. However, there are a handful of other brands Broc would fit with like Fit, Cult or even possibly Kink. Another more obvious option would be BSD with the closer relationship that Full Factory have with them over in the U.K and here in the U.S now. Personally leaning toward Sunday or BSD, but we’ve been surprised before. We’re sure we’ll be finding out sooner than later.

Brian Tunney – December 2019 Clips

January 2, 2020

It’s a new month, a new year and a new decade, which means it’s time for a new edit from Brian Tunney showing us what he got into during his flatland sessions over the course of December. This edit marks 12 consecutive months of edits, which is awesome. This one is a little different than usual, with no music. However, the riding is still on point! Hit play and check out the riding!

“December basically turned into a month of undertaker B-sides. In between holiday craziness, getting sick, the disappointment of Star Wars and a lot of in general BS to contend with throughout the month of December, I managed the above. It’s not that impressive but hey, you can’t win them all.

This also marks a full year of monthly riding videos, which was my aim last year. So yeah, ’45-year-old man does stupid BMX tricks for a year, documents it’ is what my life has become.

And because it was the end of the decade on Dec. 31, I had to finish with an old favorite: the smith decade. Onward and upward into the new year….” – Brian Tunney

Happy Days In Mallorca

January 2, 2020

This time of year can be rough with the cold and and snow, so some of Germany’s finest took a trip to Mallorca, Spain to soak up the sun and spots. Freedom BMX dropped this rad edit featuring Felix Prangenberg, Bruno Hoffmann, Kilian Roth and Moritz Nussbaumer putting in work during their stay! This BMX video has a pretty chill vibe to it, but everything from the riding to the spots and film work are on point! Hit play and enjoy!

“Check out Felix Prangenberg, Bruno Hoffmann, Kilian Roth, and Moritz Nußbaumer killing it on Mallorca (Spain) during the first ever Our House trip.

Our House recently gave Felix Prangenberg, Bruno Hoffmann, Kilian Roth and Moritz Nußbaumer a long weekend in Mallorca. Here is our video of her four-day flying visit to the Germans’ favorite island, which is not only something for party tourists, but also has a lot of first-class street spots to offer. It goes without saying that under these circumstances and with this line-up a real board got around. But see for yourself. And if you only understand the train station at Our House, we have a few background information for you:

For more than 50 years, Deutsche Sporthilfe has been supporting federal athletes in Olympic sports, i.e. those athletes who represent Germany at the Olympic Games and other international competitions. However, since there are also many other athletes worthy of funding, the non-profit foundation launched a project a few months ago with Our House, through which the so-called informal sports receive support.

Informal sports are basically just another word for action or extreme sports such as BMX, parkours, wakeboarding etc. By “informal” it is meant that these sports have not yet been organized, or have only begun in clubs and associations. The goal of Deutsche Sporthilfe within the framework of Our House is to also support those athletes in these sports who are among the best in the world in their field, but whose focus is not primarily on medals in world title fights.

For this great project, Our House has brought Felix Prangenberg, Bruno Hoffmann, Kilian Roth and Moritz Nußbaumer on board at BMX, the top of the German BMX street scene. The trip to Malle was intended to get to know each other, further projects are to follow. We are excited to see what the future will bring. In any case, the start is very good!

You can find more information about Our House at https://www.weareourhouse.de/ or Instagram (@ ourhouse.de).

Riding the Foam Pit at The Nowear Compound

January 2, 2020

As some of you might have heard, the Nowear crew out in Nebraska have been busting their asses to build an indoor skatepark that is completely free for riders to enjoy. They’ve been operating as a Non-Profit organization and putting everything they get from donations to sales into this dialed new building. They have the structure up and now they’re starting to build out the ramps. For Christmas this year, they unveiled the foam pit and a bunch of riders came out to give it a test and learn some new tricks. It sounds like at least 6 kids have learned how to send a backflip because of it, so that’s pretty rad. Here’s a video showing some of the riding that went down. We would imagine we’ll be seeing plenty more ramps popping up inside the building soon!

“Nowear BMX is building a FREE indoor bike/skatepark in Nebraska. After 3 years of fundraising and hard work, they have a heated building up and their first ramp built!” – Ace Bike Media

Meseroll X Subrosa – Joey Hanusiewicz “Smoked”

January 1, 2020

Joey Hanusiewicz coming through with a real solid edit from a trip he took to Spain for Meseroll Bike Shop and Subrosa. During Joey’s visit, he put in work on spots from Barcelona to Madrid and was able to put his pegs to real good use. This has a pretty laidback vibe, but the riding is sold, the spots are great and the film work is clean. Don’t pass it up!

“Dropping some heat to start the New Year – Joey “Monsta” Hanusiewicz went in on Barcelona and Madrid and Sam Downs captured it all. Be on the lookout for more of this guy!!
