There’s no denying that BMX has seen A LOT of color over the years and we have seen just about every color under the sun from bright florescent colors to 50 shades of black to some shiny and matte colors and as of late, wraps that are looking pretty rad as well! The past few months we have seen some interesting color options from brands like Odyssey, The Shadow Conspiracy, Tree Bicycle Co., Demolition Parts, Madera and Profile Racing that have been getting a lot of love. We figured it would be fun to see just what color takes the top spot at the moment, so here are some examples of these new colors. We want to know what you think!
Jake Seeley’s new “Bark Cloth” colorway that just became available is one of the new wrap options that Profile Racing have released. This Hawaiian colorway was popular back in the 70’s and it looks like Profile is bringing it back… Strong! As always, Profile Racing are constantly offering new color options from different shades of camouflage, shiny and matte colors and even that sweet Wing P wrap that almost made the cut for this list as well.

After a little hiatus, Tree Bicycle Co. have brought their always popular Woodgrain colorway back to life and have gone all out to offer it on pretty much every part they make these days. Some of you older guys have seen this color a few times from Mosh and Tree Bicycle Co… I think United is even dabbling in the color these days? Needless to say, this is one we’re sure we’ll see a lot of votes.
The Shadow Conspiracy have been playing with the Tye Die colorway for a little while now with colors like copper and purple, but they have just released their new red and polished tie dye options that are looking real good. These colors are available on a handful of their parts these days and it seems to be getting a lot of love from BMX riders around the world. The guys at Demolition Parts also have a similar color that will be available here in the next few weeks in the polished version. I believe there are a few other brands playing around with this color as well after seeing The Shadow Conspiracy’s success with it.
Tom Villarreal’s signature “Celestial” colorway from Madera about broke the internet the day it dropped with A TON of people loving this new color. Similar to Profile Racing’s Bark Cloth, they have found a way to wrap the hubs with some pretty wild color options and this one is undoubtably a favorite of many. From what I’ve seen, these parts are selling faster than shops can keep them in stock usually and Madera sold out of the first run in just a few days. No surprise!
Keeping up with the Space theme, Odyssey also released their “Galaxy” colorway a little bit before the Madera option became available and it has been getting a ton of love as well. This colorway is only available on their seats and Twisted PC pedals which goes really well with Madera’s option if you are looking to really get crazy on your BMX bike. It will be interesting to see if Odyssey will expand the options of parts that come in this color.
Mike “Hucker” Clark decided to go full on Hawaiian for his signature Tripod and Pivotal seat from Demolition! This seat is going to be available in about a week or two (I believe it’s available in some places in Asia already, actually) and I’m sure we’ll see a lot of these popping up on peoples bikes pretty quick. This color goes well with that Bark Cloth option from Profile Racing, that’s for sure. Odyssey offered a similar colorway a while back on their Twisted PC pedals and it seems like we’ll probably see more Floral options in the near future because BMX seems to love it.
Alright, this one isn’t “new” in comparison to the other options, but it seems like oil slick is still a popular one in BMX. Harry Main’s signature Mainiac frame comes in Hyper’s “Jet Fuel” color and it looks pretty wild. Between Hyper and Snafu, you can pretty much do a full Oil Slick bike. In all honesty, we’re on the tail end of the oil slick trend because a lot of brands that were offering it are no longer doing it… Which I’m sure a lot of you could be psyched on if you’re burned out on all that oil burning. Either way, it was one that had to make the list.
Maybe you aren’t a fan of all these goofy and crazy colors in BMX and like to keep it simple with chrome, black or more traditional colors, which is equally as awesome since we’re fans of clean and simple. However, we still want to see what you think. If you HAD to pick one of these color options, which would you choose? Hit the poll below and let us know!
