Insight: Radio Bikes – 2017 Complete Bikes

With 2017 complete bikes starting to roll out from brands all around the world, we figured it would be a good time to give you guys a closer look at what Radio Bikes have for bikes hitting BMX shops and mail-orders. For 2017, Radio have a full range of bikes from small 16″ entry level bikes all the way up to high end Comrad that is decked out with aftermarket parts from Eclat and Salt. 2017 Comrad

Let’s start out with one of our favorite bikes from Radio Bikes this year, the 2017 Comrad. This bike starts out with a full 4130 chromoly frame with a 75.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.75″ bottom bracket height, 8.85″ standover height and a 13.6″ chainstay length. You can find an integrated head tube, gussets on the top and down tubes for strength, an Integrated seat post clamp, Mid bottom bracket, removable brake mounts and heat-treated 14mm dropouts. The Radio Bikes Pro fork is made from full 4130 chromoly tubing with a 1-piece steerer tube. Up top, you can find full 4130 chromoly bars with a 9″ rise, 29.5″ width, 12-degrees of backsweep and 2-degrees of upsweep. The rest of the Comrad is decked out top to bottom in Salt Plus and Eclat parts.

The 2017 Comrad comes in ED Copper for the only color with a 21″ top tube length. This bike is ideal for the more advanced rider that is looking for a bike that will hold up to whatever is thrown at it. This bike is geared toward street riding, but will hold up to to ramps and trails, too.

Salt Plus EX front hub with a 3/8″ female axle. Both front and rear hubs com with the Slat Plus Pro Nylon hub guards to help prevent wear and tear from grinding.

You can find a Salt Plus Pro freecoaster with a 9-tooth driver, fully sealed bearings and a hollow 14mm axle.

Salt Plus Sting tires front and rear. You can find a 2.40″ tire in the front and a 2.30″ Sting tire in the rear.

Salt Plus Stealth Nylon pedals.

Radio Bikes Century fat Tripod seat. Clean look, plenty of padding for sitting or pinching with your knees to throw the bars.

The Radio Bikes Axis 25-tooth sprocket made from 6061-T6 alloy.
