After a corona-related forced break, the “Jams & Contests” section of freedombmxTV is slowly picking up speed again. As part of the Ruhr Games 2021, the first BMX contest of the year took place in Germany at the same time as the UCI BMX Freestyle World Championships in France. The fourth edition of Europe’s largest sports and culture festival for young people was held this year in front of 500 spectators: inside the Bochum Ruhrstadion and once again combined sports as diverse as beach volleyball, archery, boxing and BMX. Here are the highlights of the minramp contest with Dean Florian, Tom van den Bogaard, Evan Brandes, Tobias Freilang, Sikharin Supanmart and the like, who clearly showed how much fun it was for them to finally ride their bikes again after such a long period of abstinence and which went accordingly steep. Yeww!
