Here’s a look at Eclat‘s latest print ad featuring Alex Kennedy and their Plaza plastic pedal. This can be found in the new issue of Ride UK! Word on the street is that Alex has a signature pedal of his own in the works…
Just last weekend we were telling Chad DeGroot we would be psyched on a new edit from him at Frostbike… Now today he dropped this new edit of him getting down at the Candyland pre-fab park for this Self-Titled street frame promo from Deco! Hit that play button for a look at some of the creative riding he cooked up along with a good look at that frame!

We got a little sneak peek of this at Frostbike last weekend, but Subrosa‘s “Nude Metal” or raw colorway will be dropping in March! Here’s a look at how it looks on their Highlife Upload stem and the Magnum full guard sprocket!

Here it is! We got our first look at these 14mm Elite hubs from Profile Racing last month at Frostbike, and now they’re available for everyone! The Elite hub is CNC machined right here in the U.S out of aluminum and features a ratchet ring with a one-piece chromoly 9 or 10 tooth driver with 6 pawls creating 204 points of engagement and sounds like a swarm of bees when you are riding and 5 sealed bearings to keep you rolling smooth. Now they have added the option of running a 14mm male axle for those of you who want to run the hub, but would also like to grind without the fear of wrecking the female axles.
You can pick this hub up in right or left side drive with colors of black, polished, matte black, red, blue, gold, green, purple, white and aqua for right side drive or in black and polished with only a 9-tooth driver option for left side drive (for now) or for existing Elite hub owners, a 14mm conversion kit has been made available that includes the axle, cones and jam nuts.
You can find out more about these hubs by clicking here or you can have your local shop hit up Profile Racing directly to get you one ordered up today!

It’s that time of the week again to give a look at some of the interesting threads that have surfaced on Bikeguide this week! Given, there have been a bunch of threads popping up, I was stoked on two in particular.
First up, if you caught our Frostbike coverage of Odyssey’s booth, you might have caught the prototype of the new hub guard that G-Sport is working on that goes over the drop out. There has been an interesting thread called GSport Private Part that has sparked up some discussion on this guard and the pros and cons for the design. There’s definitely some interesting stuff to see and read in there, so take a peek RIGHT HERE.

The second thread that I caught myself digging through for a while is the What Have You Made? thread! This one has been on the board for a little while now with 37 pages of stuff to see and covers everything from random projects people have done around their houses to non-BMX things they have made, to stuff like this wood kicker that was inspired off the Fly Bikes Coastin’ video, to a Kegerator lever somebody used a crank arm for. Well worth a look through! Check it out RIGHT HERE!

There’s literally thousands of threads to check out, so go hit up Bikeguide.org and have a look around!

Last month during Frostbike, Jeremy Ball and myself were introduced to a brand neither of us had heard of that are more focused on racing in BMX called Promax. Going over the products, we were seeing some real quality stuff, but obviously due to it being for racing, neither of us really knew much about it. That’s when the ERK brakes caught our eyes. We were really interested in these super clean looking U-Brakes they made. After Frostbike was over, Jeremy picked up a pair for his new setup he built thanks to Deluxe to try out. After giving it a go, he decided to do a quick review for you guys to get a closer look and find out how well they worked. Let’s see what he had to say! – Kurt

If you caught my Frostbike coverage of Deluxe and And Forks there’s a good chance you got a preview of this bike . After Frostbike wrapped up, Jeremy Ball was able to take home the bike that Deluxe and And Forks had on display for his personal setup. You can get a closer look at this super dialed setup right here. Also… If you notice the brakes on that bike… We’ll have a review of them up soon!

Over the years, I’ve definitely developed a big interest in the product side of things with BMX. Something about all the small details, specs and time that go into a product really gets to me just as much as riding these days. I’ve definitely had the opportunity to find out more about how products are made while interviewing brands and product designers as well as the chance to find out about products that the rest of the world only get a glimpse of online during events like Interbike and Frostbike. I was also given the opportunity to handle the Productivity section of DIG from issue 73-87 until recently deciding to step away to focus more of my attention on The Union. I decided I wanted to keep doing what I was able to do in those pages the last few years but turn it into a weekly column here on a smaller scale where I feature 5 products from 5 different brands. Give you all the specs, where to find it, how much and pretty much every other important detail. So here it is…. the first round of Products:. Check it!
