Let’s take a closer look at the Optimized Freecoaster from The Shadow Conspiracy!
On the hunt for a new freecoaster hub? The crew over at The Shadow Conspiracy have released their new and improved Optimized freecoaster for you to get your fakie on with. The Optimized hub starts out with a 36-hole, CNC machined 6061 alloy hub shell with a small Crow logo. Inside you can find a 14mm solid chromoly male axle with 2 sealed cartridge bearings and 2 sealed cartridge hub shell bearings and an a 9-tooth CNC machined chromoly driver. Their past freecoaster ran into a few engagement issues from riding, so to resolve it they have moved to a bushing resistance system to completely fix the problem.
The Optimized freecoaster also features a smaller hub flange on the non-drive side to allow for a smaller plastic hub guard that comes stock with the hub. You’re not only ready to go backwards, but you won’t have to worry about grinding either.
This hub comes in left or right side drive, colors of black, polished, anodized red, Polar Blue, Arsenic and Ignite weighs in at 25.85 oz. and costs $164.99. You can pick the Optimized freecoaster up through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry The Shadow Conspiracy worldwide now or in The Shadow Conspiracy webstore.
