What’s the newest part on your bike?
I just put on some new pedals, but the I got the bike like a month ago, so the whole bike is pretty new I guess..
What’s the oldest part on your bike?
The frame, haha. I got Travis’s frame, cause I wanted the Enigma 20.8 frame and BMXButikken did not have it in
that size at the time. But it’s no worries really, because it was barely used anyways. Looks new, so doesn’t really matter.
What do you go through the fastest?
Pedals and grips. I have to change them like every month or so.
Do you have to have your bike setup in a particular way for it to feel comfortable for you? Bars forward or anything like
that?
Hmm, I don’t know, really. I guess I need the 25 offset on my forks, so I can do nosemauals, not too much air in
my tires… 60PSI is enough. And the griptape on the cranks is nice!
Do you have any fears of particular parts breaking? Are you OCD about checking anything on your bike?
Not really. I guess I should check my bike more. I never really fix my bike, haha. Sometimes I check my frame for
cracks before and after jumping down some stairs, but that’s all.
Since you’re new to the Simple team, what would you say your favorite part on your bike from them is?
I like every Simple part on my bike. The frame, bars and wheels. But if I had to choose one thing, I would go for the
front wheel that I have. It looks soo clean!
Speaking of Simple, how did the opportunity to ride for them come about?
Well… I rode at the 2012 Rebel Jam in the street contest. S/O to my mum for taking me there, it was fun.. Anyways,
I guess I rode good there, and a couple of months later Niels asked me about it and I just knew that THAT was my
thing. The team and the brand is just perfect for me I guess. I am really happy that I got the opportunity to ride for
Simple, and Travis and Niels are really nice.
Does Niels have anything in the works with you yet as far as trips or anything cool like that?
Roskilde trip I hope, haha. Also I already went on a trip to Malaga, which was just hella fun. Also Niels has been talking
about something in Copehagen, Denmark. I don’t know about more than that, but I think Niels has got me covered.
Obviously, we dropped your welcome edit with this bike check. How long did you spend filming for that one? What’s
your favorite clip in the whole video and which clip kicked your ass the hardest?
I spent one week in Malaga to film the edit. I guess that handrail kicked my ass. I was trying to bar to ice down, but I
never got the barspin… Sucks since it really would be a way sicker clip.
I am really happy about the “feeble 180 – hop whip – Smith 180” line. I think that clip looks good. Herman’s filming is
soo good.
Have you been filming for anything else? When can we expect more footage from you?
Yeah. I am always keen to film. We are maybe doing something at Simple Session next week. But that is just a
possibility. Also, I think I might also make a little edit for Follow The Leader in my hometown. But I will definitely be out
with more edits!
Do you have any other sponsor news you can tell us about?
Not really. I get everything I need for my bike from BMXButikken/SimpleBikeCo. Also I get some hats and stuff from
Billy Perry from Follow The Leader. I am stoked that he has his own brand and that he gives me stuff even though we’ve
never met. But he seems like a cool dude.
What’s your plans for the summer? Any traveling in your future?
Ohh, there’s a bunch, haha. I want to do soo much stuff. Simple Session next week. Maybe Fise. Definitely Worlds. And maybe
some more contests and trips. The Roskilde/Copenhagen trip should be fun. I am looking forward to that.
Since you’re a pretty new name to everyone, tell us something about yourself that might surprise people?
Follow me on Instagram @BMXole. I don’t really know what to say here. I love riding outdoors, but sometimes
it’s really hard to do it here because of the shitty weather and all that, so travelling, for me, is just the most fun thing
ever!
What’s the last song you heard, movie you watched and website you visited?
– I just started watching Blue Mountain State. That’s awesome, haha. I usually just visit Facebook, The Union and The
Come Up.
Do you have any shout outs or thanks?
My mum, of course! She helps me out a lot, and I don’t think I would be the same person as I am today if it wasn’t
for her. Everybody that I ride with in my hometown. Niels and Travis for hooking me up with a good deal. Billy Perry at
FTL for all the stuff he sends me. Everybody that it is fun to ride with and who keeps me motivated to ride. The Union
for having this interview/bike check/edit drop. My step-dad for being my private taxi. Fernando Laczko and his brother
Antonio for showing us around Malaga city. Robin Helgesen for making edits of me and of course Herman Bøgeberg (HB
Films) for making this edit, which he did a really good job with.
Thanks
