It was announced the other week that Mutiny Bikes had added Dylan Lewis to the Pro team, and it looks like they haven’t been slacking on dialing in his first signature frame. Here’s a little sneak preview Mutiny dropped today of the frame with full specs and details.
The Death Grip frame is made from 4130 Sanko chromoly tubing with a 74.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.65″ bottom bracket height and 13.7″ – 14.2″ chainstay length. The seat tube height was not released, but we would be guessing based on the photo that it’s upper 8″ range. The frame will feature a heat-treated, 125mm tall, offset thickness head tube, top and down tube gussets with the “Badge N’ Bones” logo debossed on both, a triple butted top tube that’s 1.4mm thick at the seat tube junction, a double butted down tube, integrated 4130 seat post clamp with a horizontal cut for better clamping, heat-treated MID bottom bracket, custom seat stay bridge, 6mm drop outs with integrated chain tensioners and removable brake mounts
The Death Grip frame will be available in 21.3″, 21.6″ and 21.8″ top tube lengths. No word on colors, but raw is looking damn good regardless. It will be available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Mutiny Bikes in September!
