It looks like the crew over at Almond Footwear have been busy working with Van Homan on his first signature shoe with the brand! Above is a little preview we found over on The Merged! Expect more details closer to the release!
Willem Van Gansen might have been off his bike for the better part of a year, but it doesn’t look like it took much of anything for him to get his old self back! Check out this video of him roasting around 040Park for Almond Footwear!
“This is Willem’s first edit since being off his bike for more then 8 months due to a freak injury that fucked up his hearing and balance.
He’s starting to get his wings back and it shows in this promo edit for Almond Footwear and Grounded BMX !
Filmed and edited by Bart Cautaerts” – Grounded BMX
I’m not sure if this video is just late or what, but check out this promo for the Autumn / Winter 2013 line from Almond Footwear. Damn does this stuff look good or what!?

We pride ourselves on our exceptional attention to detail, and a unique process we bring to each and every one of our models. Our foundations lie firmly rooted in BMX, and we have always been enthusiastic about fashion and grass roots design, I guess you could say that Almond almost effortlessly became an amalgamation of all those inspirations. Our goal is to forge a legacy of innovative thinking, to develop new ideas and reach new stages in shoe design for BMX’ers and everyday people through our own authentic style.

Van Homan has parted ways with iPath and is now covering his feet with Almond Footwear. Heres what Van had to say:
“I’m excited to be part of a shoe company whose sole focus is BMX. Working with a home grown brand like Almond makes communication easier and that means getting good things done faster. We’re already working on some trips and a signature shoe together. I’m proud to announce that I’m riding for Almond Footwear and looking forward to getting some filming and footwear projects rolling.”
