Dane Searls Memorial Jam 2013
Here’s one you’re definitely not going to want to miss. Backbone BMX just dropped their video from this years Dane Searls Memorial Jam that went down a little while back. Based off this video, there was a huge turn out, the trails were running real good and everyone had a good time all day long. Just the way Dane would have wanted it! Rest in Peace, Dane! We all miss you!

“I wanted to put out a web video that was all filmed at our trails, Hillfire, since the start of the year, but unfortunately spent a lot of time contending with ill weather, then was out for a long while with a broken leg. Damn! Will Gunn beat the living shit out of himself for this new Backbone BMX edit! Goes to show just how tough BMX makes a guy! Either way, after the massive ass kicking party, the oven gets turned up to broil and shit gets wild on the streets, parks and trails! Will absolutely destroys in this making for one MUST SEE video!
“So this edit took way longer to come out than we both intended. (as usual with my projects) I had a knee reconstruction, Will moved back to orange, I started a hectic 7 day a week work schedule, and all the while the edit had still had not been dropped. However better late then never could not be more true in this case.
Will is hands down my favourite rider to watch, his style is solid and classic, and it was an absolute pleasure putting this little piece together.

Back Bone BMX – ACT Jam 2013
Now this is what I call a jam! Back Bone BMX threw a jam over Easter weekend and kept it going strong for 3 full days. This video gives you a look at all the riding and good times that were had. Take notes if you’re planning a jam because this is what it should look like.
“On the Easter long weekend, we held a 3 day long jam at Weston Creek, Belconnen & Tuggeranong skateparks, as well as a final jam at the store. After the jams, we handed out voting slips for riders & watchers on to vote for their favourite rider & favourite trick at each park. After all the jams were done, votes were tallied & the riders were announced. The rider with the most amount of votes from all four stops was accumulated & crowned ‘King of the ACT’.“
