Stoked to bring the 6th stop of Roast The Coast to Alexandra Headlands skatepark!

This is the skatepark that inspired the whole Roast The Coast BMX jam series and it was awesome to finally make it happen.

The Sunshine Coast BMX scene is poppin! So it made the day an epic one, the riding was off the charts and the crowd in attendance were making even more exciting.

We gave out a heck tonne of prizes from Roast The Coast sponsors Vans, Drover Projects, Sodii Hydration, Wethepeople BMX, LUXBMX, Alex Surf Club and Pro-Tec.

Roast The Coast – Newcastle

The crew at Back Bone BMX kicked off their Roast The Coast 2026 series down in Australia. The first stop went down at the Newcastle park, and it looks like they had an absolute blast with a full day of riding and good times with a bunch of the locals. Here’s a look at what went down!

“Stoked to bring the first Roast The Coast of 2026 to the epic Newcastle Beach skatepark, easily the most picturesque skatepark in Australia (and there are plenty of incredible skateparks with incredible backdrops).

Riders turned up from Melbourne, QLD, all over NSW and even a bunch of international riders.

Backbone BMX – Act Jam 2025

The crew at Backbone BMX have once again produced 3 wild days of riding and good times down in Australia with their annual ACT Jam. “Umina Beach skatepark was host to the first stop of the Roast The Coast Jam series. What a jam to open the series it was! The weather threatened all week but the skies stayed clear and BMX mayhem was all that rained down on the Umina Beach skatepark.

Kaz Campbell is now doing it for Back Bone BMX!

The crew at Back Bone BMX have added Kaz Campbell to their squad! As you should know by now, Kaz is an absolute ripper and it’s easy to understand why they added him. If not, well, this welcome video will make it crystal clear. Watch Kaz absolutely roast some concrete parks and trails to bring the news!

“Kaz Campbell is a full blown badass from the UK; when Kaz came to ACT Jam 2024, we finally got to meet him and hang out and we knew right away, this dude is the real deal.

He’s joined the Backbone BMX team and also joined the Aussie shores as a resident, so we’re stoked to give him a very “Warm Welcome”!

Riding his new local spots from the Sunshine Coast down to the Gold Coast, Kaz rides BMX like very few can… This video was knocked out in only a couple of weeks. Epic.

Back Bone BMX – Tyson Jones-Peni Bike Check

Get a look at Tyson Jones-Peni’s signature setup! Yeah, those are disc brakes!

There’s a lot of times a Bike Check will pop up, and they will look super dialed, but there isn’t anything that makes it unique. Well, Tyson Jones-Peni caught our eye with his new video Bike Check from Back Bone BMX! Tyson has been working with Wethepeople and Eclat on a few signature parts, one being his signature Chaos frame. That frame isn’t just some geometry, graphics and colors that Tyson picked, but Tyson managed to get himself DISC BRAKE MOUNTS on his frame. We’re pretty sure this is the first signature frame with disc brakes for a freestyle frame, but we could be wrong. Either way, it’s unique and pretty rad if we may say! “Tyson Jones-Peni has been working with @Wethepeople BMX on his signature frame soon after joining the WTP team in 2020.. and it’s finally here, as well as his signature @Eclat BMX Exile seat.

Tyson built it up and took it straight to the park for first laps, then gives his thoughts on his brand new ride.. the Wethepeople Chaos Machine.

Back Bone BMX has released the official video from ACT Jam 2022!

The other weekend the annual ACT Jam went down n Australia, and as always it was an absolute wild one! The crew at Back Bone BMX moved the contest indoors this year to avoid the rain, but it looks like that didn’t keep the party from going off. Check out 8 minutes of highlights with a ton of bangers to check out.

“The ACT Jam has turned into one of the premiere freestyle BMX events in the world! Run by FACT BMX Club in conjunction with Back Bone BMX and Club Back Bone, 2022 saw the ACT Jam dodge the rain and move indoors to two days of next level riding from the world’s most ripping BMXers.
