Sneak Peek: S&M – 11 Inch Rise Bars?

You know when you wake up to a message and all you think is “it’s too damn early for this…”… That’s the response I had when I woke up this morning to a link Dave at The Merged sent me to check out. It looks like S&M Bikes may be expanding their space program and getting one inch closer to the moon with some 11 inch rise bars. All we have right now is this photo, so it might just be a joke, but according to Dave, they will be available next week through The Building for $59.99. Expect more info if and when these beasts drop so you can slap them on that BMX bike of yours.

I think I just found some ape hangers for my motorcycle…

Last week Demolition released Ronnie Napolitan’s signature Combat bars. Today they dropped this brand new video giving you a closer look at the bars along with some damn good street, park and trails footage of Ronnie putting the bars to good use! Get on that play button!

Alex Raban Volume Bikes BMX bars

Did you know Alex Raban was getting a set of signature bars from Volume? I didn’t… But they dropped today! The Iron Chachi bars are made from 13-butted heat-treated 4130 chromoly and feature a rise of 8.3″, width of 29″, 12-degrees of backsweep, 2-degrees of upsweep, a crossbar height of 6.2″ and a crossbar width of 10.4″. These bars feature thicker butting on all of the stress points to increase the overall strength throughout. The Iron Chachi bars weigh in at 29.4 oz. and come in chrome and flat black. Demolition Combat BMX bars Ronnie Napolitan

Thinking it’s time for some new bars and you want something bigger? Check out Ronnie Napolitan’s signature Combat bars from Demolition that are out now. These 13-butted 4139 heat-treated chromoly bars have a rise of 8.8″, width of 29″, 11-degrees of backsweep, 1-degree of upsweep, a 6.4″ crossbar height and a 11.28″ crossbar width. These bars feature a thicker butted tubing in all the stress points to create an all around stronger design. The Combat bars weigh in at 32 oz. with flat black and chrome for the colors. Merritt BMX Brian Foster Bars

Not too long ago, two familiar names in the BMX industry, Sean Curran and Mike Brennan, announced that they were making some moves and going all in and launching a brand of their own. Shortly after that news popped up, word about Merritt started floating around. Over the course of a few months, they slowly announced a hell of a team and introduced a few products that these two were working on.
One of those products in particular were some signature bars for the one and only Brian Foster. Once these bars became available, I knew I needed to get my hands on a pair to give a go.
Doing a review of handle bars isn’t exactly something easy to do because either they hold up or they don’t. I haven’t broke a pair of bars in about 10 years so I figured instead of trying to tell you they haven’t broke in the 2 months I’ve been running them, I’d give you guys a closer look at just what make these special. Let’s take a closer look.
