Spotted this over on Flat Matters and was digging it. Jim McKay has been on the move lately and ended up stacking up a ton of footage from the different events he hit up. If this nearly 5 minute video is just a teaser… Imagine how much more he is sitting on?

The next stop of the Monster Recon Tour landed in Greenville, North Carolina where Daniel Dhers opened up the doors of The Animal House for all the young guns to come through and show everyone what they had. Take a look at what went down in this video!
“The Monster Army Recon Tour presented by Replay XD, held the East Coast Finals at the Animal House in Greenville, NC. The Animal house has been around since the mid 00’s and was owned and operated by the great, Dave Mirra. Now in 2013, pro BMX athlete Daniel Dhers has control of the Animal House. Daniel rides and trains at this facility and also operates the park. All of the athletes were ecstatic to be able to compete in a park where legends like Mirra and Dhers train on a daily basis.
The event was amazing throughout the day and a magnitude of huge tricks were being thrown down. Athletes were putting their bodies on the line trying to gain the top spot in their division. In order to take the top spot athletes were throwing tricks like front flips, double whips, 720s, and more to give them the edge. In the Play Open division, Jake Leiva, traveling all the way from Tehachapi, CA, ended up walking away with 1st place and the honor of getting invited to the Play Open Finals at Mike Spinner’s park on September 7th. Jake was riding on another level than the field and even the great, Dave Mirra was on hand to witness the magic of his riding. We now know why Greenville, NC has been named Pro Town USA, and we wish Jake the best of luck on becoming the next great rider of our time.“

It looks like Shawn McIntosh’s signature Mac pedals from Fit Bike Co. will be available in a loose ball bearing version for those of you ballin’ on a budget this summer. These will be a lower cost version of the already available sealed bearing version.
Did you know Alex Raban was getting a set of signature bars from Volume? I didn’t… But they dropped today! The Iron Chachi bars are made from 13-butted heat-treated 4130 chromoly and feature a rise of 8.3″, width of 29″, 12-degrees of backsweep, 2-degrees of upsweep, a crossbar height of 6.2″ and a crossbar width of 10.4″. These bars feature thicker butting on all of the stress points to increase the overall strength throughout. The Iron Chachi bars weigh in at 29.4 oz. and come in chrome and flat black. I first saw Kuba Cerski ride a few years back when he came up for a BV Jam I threw with the Chicago crew. The kid was real good then and it looks like he hasn’t slowed down one bit since. Check out this new edit of him showing you what he’s got at a few parks, street spots and a trails spot around Chicago. Good stuff!

Thinking it’s time for some new bars and you want something bigger? Check out Ronnie Napolitan’s signature Combat bars from Demolition that are out now. These 13-butted 4139 heat-treated chromoly bars have a rise of 8.8″, width of 29″, 11-degrees of backsweep, 1-degree of upsweep, a 6.4″ crossbar height and a 11.28″ crossbar width. These bars feature a thicker butted tubing in all the stress points to create an all around stronger design. The Combat bars weigh in at 32 oz. with flat black and chrome for the colors.
