James Colella and Kings Rideshop
All photos by Patrick Martinez
If there’s one thing that has been really good for BMX, it has been the shops that fully support BMX 100%. One of those shops would be Kings Rideshop out in California. This BMX only shop has been going strong for nearly a decade, and in that time it has grown and developed a scene that is really important to help keep this lifestyle of ours going strong.
Over the years, I’ve seen a lot of cool things come from Kings Rideshop and figured it would be a good time to catch up with the owner, James Collela, to find out a little bit about him and what the shop is all about! Let’s get into this to see what he had to say!
Name: James Colella

Red Bull – Rock Park Teaser
Here’s a little teaser for a pretty crazy spot Red Bull took Sergio Layos, Liam and Ben Hennon to recently. This is bound to be a pretty wild video. Who wants to ride this spot?
“Sergio Layos, Liam ‘Lima’ Eltham and Ben Hennon travel to the small island of Gozo in search of an entirely natural skate park made of rock. Check back next week for the full photo story and video feature.

Oakley – Texas Toast with Dennis Enarson and Mike “Hucker” Clark
Here’s a rad video Oakley put together from the Texas Toast Jam with the main focus being on Dennis Enarson and Mike “Hucker” Clark. This was definitely filmed on the fancy camera rig that was running around the place all weekend, haha.
“The hardcore BMX community descended on Austin, Texas for the 3rd annual Texas Toast in mid-October. Dirt, Street and the Gauntlet of Death highlighted a BMX-centric weekend.“
