With Interbike less than a month away (Holy shit…), we’re going to start seeing more and more leaked new products popping up on The Merged. Above is a sneak peek of Trey Jones’ signature Stone Cold bars from Cult that Neal Wood posted up on Instagram. These bars feature a rise of 8.7″, 29.25″ width, 11-degrees of backsweep and 2-degrees of upsweep. The bars also feature a crossbar height of 6.4″ and a crossbar width of 10.9″. These bars will be available in black, white and chrome with a weight of 32.2 oz. I’m not sure if these bars are made in the U.S or overseas, but I’m assuming they are heat-treated since they come with a Lifetime Guarantee according to The Merged. Start saving up!

Deluxe at The Wheel Mill

August 20, 2013

If you have been following the Deluxe Instagram then you would know that some of the Deluxe team have been spending a little time getting some riding in out in Pennsylvania before the Welcome Jam this weekend at the Potoczny compound. The other night they hit up The Wheel Mill for a session. Check out this video to see what went down! I can’t get over how fun this place looks!

“Mark Potoczny, Ted Van Orman, and Mike Saavadra from the Deluxe BMX U.S. team came out for an evening session during Jaunt BMX Night.

August 20, 2013

HOMAN_MUG_2

DIG has started to upload the interviews from the Legends issue from last year for your viewing pleasure. You can hit this LINK to check out part one featuring Van Homan. I think this is just part one of the interview since I feel like there was more questions if I remember right, so I’d say we’ll probably be seeing more from this in the next few days.

Primary Threads X Focalpoint – Nathan Parker

August 20, 2013

We’ve been seeing a bunch of entries for the Primary Threads X Focalpoint Worldwide Video contest popping up the past few days and they’ve all been real solid. Here’s a fresh one that just surfaced featuring Nathan Parker getting down at his trails, the Hermitage Trails. Real good!

“Well heres mine and Nathan Parkers entry video for the primary threads X focal point BMX filming comp. unfortunately we didn’t get a lot of chances to film because of the weather. we had one good day and the next day was very grey and muggy but we worked with what we had and we reckon we pulled off a great Dirt video where our focus wasn’t about getting huge tricks thrown in but to just have a nice vibe and all round enjoyable video to watch. Feel free to give us feedback in riding, filming, editing. thanks heaps

The Skatelite Retreat

August 20, 2013

This is rad. Skatelite recently built a new park on an island and decided to throw a massive party to celebrate the completion. Take a look at this video Ride BMX dropped from the weekend giving you a look at some of the locals getting their first sessions in at the park along with a few guys like Mat Hoffman, Dennis McCoy, Zack Warden and more all getting down on the vert ramp. Looks like it was a great time!

“Dubbed The Retreat, Skatelite invited out top BMX and skate pros to San Juan Island to have a week of fun, including wake boarding, whale watching, and everything in between. Truly a retreat, everyone was set up in their own luxury vacation rentals and treated with nothing but good times. The reason for all of this? Skatelite wanted to christen a public park that they built (for free!) on neighboring Lopez Island in a proper way. So they brought in top pros, assembled the X Games vert ramp, invited some bands, and threw one hell of an event for the locals. To put it in perspective, I’m fairly certain I had one of the best 48 hours in recent history over on an island that I didn’t know existed off the coast of Washington. Really. Cheers to Skatelite for doing something great for a community that didn’t have access to a park. And look for ‘em to do it again next year…
