If you are in Australia and live near the Kempsey skatepark, I highly advise you make it out to the 4th annual Blake Butterfield Memorial Jam on Sunday, January 27th! Not only is it a day full of good riding, good people, good music and good times, but it’s for a good cause. Every year they raise money for the Westmead Childrens Hospital in Sydney and so far they’ve raise $2,000.00 from the past events. Make your way there, you won’t be disappointed.

Andrew Lazaruk has parted ways with his long time sponsor Macneil. It doesn’t specify why he has made the decision whether it’s just him stepping out of the light or if he has a new opportunity. I guess only time will tell. I hope we see more of Andrew in the future.

One thing I always get really stoked on is when people are going out and making their ideas and dreams happen. I’ve been a fan of Roy Van Kempen for quite a while and the website him and Tom Lammerse started a while back called We Are Orange Juice. Since it’s launch, they have been making moves to keep things fresh. A few weeks ago announced that they would be starting a full on lifestyle brand to accompany their blog with clothing and accessories sharing the Orange Juice name. I was really impressed with what they were able to produce for their first collection, so I decided it would be a good time to catch up with Roy to find out more about the brand, how they got moving in this new direction, the process of making it and happen and where they are going with it. Spotted this over on Ride BMX and thought it was pretty interesting. Eddie Cleveland is no longer riding for Fit Bike Co. and has already found himself a spot on the Stranger team. Here’s a few words from Rich Hirsch about the news.
“Eddie is one of my favorite riders of all time and after a bit of a wait we can now officially announce that he will be riding for Stranger from this point forward. Eddie is a natural at everything he does and has a lot of new shit going on this year that your not going to want to miss. More to come soon.
